1. start the game and make your graphics settings 2. quit and restart the game, to create shaders for your previously done settings 3. quit again, after shaders have been created 4. install this mod 5. start the game without shader warmup
note: if you reinstall drivers and/or make any changes in your graphics settings, you have to disable this mod before and let the game create new shaders, for your new settings. You can install the mod again after.
Just a note and personal experience. On a 7080X3D it doesn't take too long, so I just personally deal with it. I would forget to remove the mod when anything changes. (For anyone who is thinking of upgrading).
How do i uninstall this/re enable shader compiling? i tried deleting the pak file and adding the line to engine.ini and changing the 0 back to (r.PSOWarmup.WarmupMaterials=1 ) this didnt work. changed some graphics settings and now theres a lot of flickering with shadows etc so wanted to try compiling again if it would fix it
Same, only mods I have are ones tweaking repair costs, weapon/armor degradation rates, and item weights. Never had this message pop up until a few weeks ago. Definitely being caused by one of the newer patches.
This mod is currently rendered pointless with the 1.3 patch (Added temporary solution to avoid crash on shader compilation by skipping shaders warm up.) Thanks to KZekai for creating it initially though. It worked wonders before this patch. Kudos!
ok I reinstalled this because I got stuck on compile after 1.1.3(was compiling fine with1.1.2). I start game with this activated,I get system message saying " failed to compile on last game load , compile will be disabled" which it was. So I exit game and disable this mod, reload game and it compiles fine (20 seconds to do it) just like before 1.1.3 . So right now I'm at "if it aint broke dont fix it " and im leaving as is mod disabled with working compile :)
If anyone doesn't know how, go to the search bar on your toolbar, type in "disk cleanup", C drive should already be selected, select "direct x shader cache". You can restart your computer if you wish, I didn't. Currently working for me.
EDIT: And you shouldn't be compiling shaders. You need to uninstall the mod completely. as Systemoj recommended. Thanks btw mate!
I only use a line in engine.ini to disable compilation if the engine.ini file doesn't exist, just create a text file and rename it including the extension.
. But of course a big thanks to all the modders who try to help others ;)
This is a blatant lie. I play with no mods, I tried cleaning the cache a few time and the shader compilation gets stuck literally every second or third time I run the game.
This mod is a life saver. Since v1.0.2 till now v1.1.3. My game constantly crashes on LowLevelFatalError. I have to save every 10 seconds, and this mod allows me to load back in without 10 mins of shader complier everytime. Ignore the ones who said you don't need it for v.1.1.3, yes shader loads faster, but skipping it is still far faster! But do remember, on every new patch, you have to remove this mod temporarily because it needs to fully load shaders at least once on a new patch.
After a long time struggling to avoid freezing during the shader warmup (after 1.1patch), I discovered this amazing mod and the next day GSC made a patch to fix the problem -_-'

To avoid problems:
1. start the game and make your graphics settings
2. quit and restart the game, to create shaders for your previously done settings
3. quit again, after shaders have been created
4. install this mod
5. start the game without shader warmup

this didnt work.

After 1.1.3 you have to delete this mod from "mod" folder, clean your "direct x shader cache" (disk cleanup) and after the game can work perfectly.
