You can use generic mod config menu in your game to change the looks while playing, but if you change skin name to something that doesn't exist, your game will crash.

If the Portrait is the character sheet, that means you do not have a LittleNPC Portrait mod installed.

I don't care what you change to.
after running the game once with the mod installed, the config should appear in the folder with all the default options.
only change the second part of each line.
LittleNPC has a side effect that the game no longer sees the Kids as toddlers so lets you have more babies. You can have 2 LittleNPC and another 2 babies. Just have to wait for the older ones to grow up for the option to come.
This is also how it's possible to have two LittleNPCs of the same sex. If the 1st one ages up to LittleNPC before 2nd is born then there is a 50/50 on the 2nds sex.
In images, the one of the ice fishing with child 1 2 3 and 4 labeled, child 1 2 3 are girls and 4 is the only boy. That's because 1st was an NPC before 2nd was born, and 2nd was an npc before 3rd was born.
