I made this Lau sprite edit bc I kind of really dislike all the "tropical" "exotic" american stuff in the game as to my knowledge real Lau is nothing like in the game and none of the villagers are indigenous Hawaiians so.  I wonder if anyone else would be interested in this type of Lau to Juhannus/Midsummer Party mod? I still need to ask some permissions to be sure.

    Is it bad that I always was annoyed there was no pig if it was a luau? 

    Anyway, I think this is a great idea, and I am putting in a vote for just calling it the Annual "Beach party"

    Yes please! The Luau and the decorations made me feel so iffy always.

    Nice art! In case you weren't aware though, LenneDalben has a mod that does the same thing, Pelican Town Potluck :)

      Thanks for letting me know! I might leave this be just a retexture then. i'm relieved bc the string editing would have been a lot of work.

    Yes, I'm not going to lie it does make me uncomfortable. Will this mod be compatible with SVE and Ridgeside? I get what Concerned Ape was trying to do... but it just doesn't sit right with me. Especially since I play ridgeside with the Leilani Mod too

      The mod would only chance the vanilla sprites (no map edits) so unless those mods replace them I don't think so! For the replacement of the word "Lau" to Midsummer Party it probably needs a compatibility patch.
