About this image

My big tetchy code baby is finally in the last stages of testing/ReadMe writeup!

Breeding Overhaul aims to revamp the vanilla breeding system when used in conjunction with Animal Husbandry Mod (formerly ButcherMod) and Paritee’s Better Farm Animal Variety. It adds new farm animal types, new items, new machine recipes, and makes some adjustments to existing animals. Now, to breed your ‘female’ (vanilla) animals, you will need to buy either DNA or male variants from Marnie. Males produce valuable manure, and unique drops needed for breeding and fertile egg crafting.

Ooh, this is intriguing! I just started playing with The Cowboy Life Expanded, which also incorporates AH and BFAV. Would it possibly be compatible with this?
    Thanks for the preview :)

      Hey there, good question!

I am also intrigued by that mod, so I will have to boot it up and see how they play together. It will probably just take simple config patch on my end, since we made it pretty easy to re-enable default breeding behaviors of any entity via config in this mod. Ultimately, it should also act as a framework for enabling the breeding of incubator BFAV animals too, so I might be able to make it enhance the function of Cowboy Expanded :)

Just to give both of you a heads-up, Cowboy Life Expanded has been reported at least three times for having stolen art assets and the author has been deleting comments discussing it. Personally I wouldn't recommend supporting it.

      Oh no, good to know!

Well, the beauty of this mod is that it'll end up easy for everyone to just add the extra entries they want if they're motivated. I will probably just add a template in the config and then not worry about supporting specific ones.
