I am very excited to announce that I've received permission from Thunderheadfred to update and maintain the ineffable Stardew Omens mod!

This includes:

  • Cleaning up code and streamlining everything
  • Creating an i18n file so that easy translations to other languages are possible
  • Creating new sprites and portraits
  • Aziraphale will be able to visit the Ginger Island Resort!
  • Aziraphale will have customized concession and movie tastes for dates to the Movie Theatre
  • New dialogue for 1.4 and 1.5
  • Updated events for 1.4 and 1.5
  • New dialogue based on game states; for example, Aziraphale has some... rather choice words for Farmer Crowley if he chooses to go the Joja Route
  • A customized spouse room and patio, which can be enabled or disabled
  • Compatibility patches for some other mods, such as Miss Coriel's Unique Courtship Response and NPC Adventures

AND:
  • a special Fashion Sense pack for Farmer Crowley, including the custom hairs and clothing from the original mod!

Currently I am still in the development stages, getting everything organized, etc. etc. but sometime in the future I will be needing some beta testers to do an in-game run-through.

    Will he becomes a standalone npc instead of replace Harvey? I want to add him but I don't want to replace vanilla characters.

      This is actually one of the most requested things I've heard from people. I'm actually seriously considering making him a standalone NPC, but I'd have to consult Thunderheadfred and get their permission first, 'cause making a complete standalone npc (and changing significant portions of dialogue) is a bit different than updating a mod.

      It IS on my radar though, so much so that I've been making Lists(TM) of things I'd need to do in order to make him a standalone.

    That's awesome! I've been playing with Aziraphale ever since I discovered I could! :D

    One comment, though, is that I can't imagine Aziraphale really thinking Crowley would help the weird forest spirits (possibly demons sent to surveil him?) improve the town to his personal benefit when he could instead use the wonderfully human method of money (and by extension, less work for him) instead. XD
