About this image

Since Nexus still doesn't have profile updates currently working (though yes, I did try the new beta for that, but it seems to be taking quite a while), I'm uploading this as an image because then it will show in my profile under the user images tab.

Anyway, I've gotten a few questions about my mods and 1.6, so here's a blanket statement. :)

I am currently burned out on Stardew Valley, and have been for a while. I have no current plans to update any of my mods for compatibility with 1.6, though many/most of them will probably still work anyway, as they use Content Patcher. I suggest if you want to know if they work, you just try them and see. Nothing is going to explode.

If you would like to add some kind of compatibility to any of my mods, translate them into another language, or create new content for them, you are welcome to do so, but I ask that you please:

  • Make the original mod a dependency if at all possible.
  • Include a link back to the original mod.
  • Make it extremely clear in the description of your mod what you are/aren't changing.
    • For example, specifying that your mod replaces certain dialog, adds some new events, adds a portrait to a shop so that it can be accessed by other mods, changes art, modifies prices, moves a shop, etc.
    • You don't have to detail every little thing, just make it obvious what you did vs what I did.
  • Don't do anything a normal person would consider morally wrong.

If you would like to copy any of my code, you are not only welcome but encouraged to do so. Credit is appreciated if you do.

Making your changes via Content Patcher and providing files that are meant to replace my files are both fine.

Wholesale copying my mods into your mods (for example, adding the Cola Shop into your expansion's code) so that my mod is rendered superfluous is not fine. Please don't do that.

If you would like to copy any of my writing (such as dialog and letters), please don't. That's the part of my mods that's most special to me.

For modding tutorials, visit the Stardew Modding Wiki: https://stardewmodding.wiki.gg/wiki/Main_Page  This is different from the main Stardew Valley wiki, and contains lots of useful resources specifically for modders. Modding is a lot easier than you might think!

hope you're doing okay <3 Your mods should be fine, but they're here if you ever want to come back to them!
