About this image

This is an early state of a upcoming new mill type for my mod "Millnificent (Better Mill) (SF)"! Any feedback?

I'm quite uncertain about the wall design... Should I use bricks or not? Should I add more wood? What about colors?

I believe I should increase the size of the wheel!

//Update
2.1.0? More like 3.1.0! Stay tuned!

    I like this idea, I like the bricks but change the color of the wood, better a gray, or light brown.

    I love the idea! This is what was always missing from the river-farm.

    Now I'm not an expert but yeah the wheel should be bigger and maybe closer to the building/the building closer to the water. Assuming that's doable. Like the building should melt into the river bank.

    As for the walls they look  a little off because the scaling of the bricks to the timber-frame doesn't work. The bricks are to large for the frames so I'd either remove the timber-frame or plaster the wall pieces in the frames white. But the vertical wood planks like you used in your windmills should work too.

      Ahh, I see! SO... a white wall may become problematic because of the structure. So... it's hard to draw details on a white-colored canvas 😄 But we will see!

      These are my inspirations:

      Watermill Riesau

      Yeah when I said white I meant like that dirty off-white in your second reference. I have no experience in pixel-art though so if  that isn't doable... I suppose making the bricks smaller wouldn't be easy either. If neither works you might want to give up on the half-timbered look. It adds a historical charm but it was a structure thing and would be not necessary if each frame only has like 6 bricks in it.
      Uhm you  could also do the whole building in just bricks or wood or in the gray-ish bricks like the foundation? Or just make that foundation higher like in the second reference the brick part goes all the way to the top of the wheel.

      i second making the mill wheel bigger. Maybe making it bigger could allow for an animation of the water actually flowing through it! I hope we still get the original windmill too.

    Great Work! Remember to add the shadow, it always helps to unify the sprite with the rest of the map.

    I'm agreeing with earlier comment that it needs to be closer to water/ have something in the gap.  Also water animation in the mill would be nice :) Love idea though!
