You need to use iridium bars to produce golden walnuts, but not gold bars only
Since this version you must also reach friendship level 8 with Willy and obtain 7 rainbow shards (in total, you don't need to have it in your inventory)

This mod adds a new machine that allows you to make golden walnuts from gold bars! You can get the crafting recipe by completing 10 trips to the island (only by boat) Since 1.4.5 version of the mod you'll also need to have friendship level 8 with Willy and get 7 rainbow shards during the game
