About this mod
Your farm has been expanded to include a foresty ranch with a river!
- Permissions and credits
This mod expands the default farm to the south to include a forest area perfect for ranching. This simple map was created for efficient farming and ranching, making use of all of that precious real estate.
This map includes:
- A cleaned-up map that removes terrain that take up real estate, ie: the cliff to the west, both ponds
- A new pond behind your house for easy early-game can refilling that is fishable. Just chop down the trees to fish it.
- Small tweaks to the overall layout like removing the infamous greenhouse rock, relocating the fence behind your house
- A lake to the east with a broken bridge, with the ability to refill your can there and possible plans for expanding across the bridge in a future update
- Updated cave aesthetic
- Lots of hardwood spawns to minimize the time needed to spend grinding hardwood in the Secret Forest
- Cozy new area south of the farm to raise your animals, with lots of trees and hardwood spawns
- In the new area, a river runs through it so you can relax and fish at home; perfect to use with Teh's Fishing Overhaul
- It breaks immersion using this map without seeing where this river flows, so I modified Forest.xnb to have the ranch's river flow into Cindersap Forest with a bridge connecting the Forest and the town
Ideas for the future:
- Mine cart access near your home
- Access to the Desert through a cave shortcut
- More fish in the river, including all legendary fish (if there is demand) - possible to do this now by configuring Teh's Fishing Overhaul
- Hot springs area to regenerate stamina
- Expand the area to the east of the broken bridge with a lucrative quarry, and more space
- Possible new NPC's for buying rare items and new quests
IMPORTANT: This mod includes two versions of the Farm and Forest maps, one with the river and one without. Whichever version you choose to use, you must overwrite BOTH Farm.xnb and Forest.xnb or you won't warp back to the Farm from the Forest area properly.

These maps have been tested and should work as intended. These maps are savegame-compatible. Beware, it is unknown if these maps are "backwards-compatible"; meaning, if you build on the new land, and uninstall this mod to the vanilla farm, it is unknown if your game will crash. Just to be safe, backup your saves before installation.

Changelog:
- 1.00: Release
- 1.01: Fixed an issue where the Greenhouse was inaccessible. Fixed some tiles that didn't display the fishing pole properly when fishing on the new Forest bridge for the River Forest map.
- 1.02: Fixed several issues with the spouses objects not appearing
- 1.03: Removed several bushes in the new Farm area of both maps. Removed bushes that cluttered the ledge area overlooking the new ranch area, preventing that area from being used. Fixed some issues with lighting.
Known issues:
Trees cannot be planted in the new expansion of the farm, because those grass tiles do not support tilling or planting of crops/trees. Without creating an SMAPI mod, there's nothing I can do about that, sorry.Seems like this issue is easily fixable and will be corrected in the next update.
