Meet Wren, a new add-on NPC for Sunberry Village!  Wren is a trans lesbian in her 50s, who moves to Sunberry in the hopes of better fortunes and hopefully, a place to call home.  But surprising ties to her past lurk in the neighborhood.  Wren has a dark, tragic backstory for which she has received sufficient therapy, so she brings a sense of humor, unabashed nerdery, and some life lessons from having screwed up along the way and surviving through it anyway.

Schedule:

Wren's schedule is randomized, so she can sometimes be hard to track down!  If you have Mobile Phone, she unlocks at two hearts instead of the usual four so that you can ask her where she is.

Wren's weekday schedule is randomized between a number of locations. On Monday and Wednesday she may be found in the following locations in Pelican Town and Sunberry:
  • Robin's house
  • Lewis's house
  • Jodi's and Emily/Haley's houses
  • The Jojamart/Community Center
  • Marnie's house
  • Ari's Market
  • Diala and Derya's cat cafe
  • Silas's forge in the mountains

On Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, she may ALSO be found in the following places (when installed):
  • Jonghyuk's house
  • Dao's house
  • Ridgeside: Pika's house and restaurant, Faye's house
  • Ridgeside: Heaps and Ezekiel's house
  • Ridgeside: The Log Cabin Hotel
  • Ridgeside: The water treatment facility and Maddie's house
She has a 50/50 chance of joining the aerobics class on Tuesdays.

On Saturdays, she works on her car in the morning and joins the Sunberry gathering in the evening (in winter, she stays indoors).

On Sundays, she has a 50/50 chance of working on her car or going on a car trip for the day.

She visits the night market and desert festival on Tuesday.
She attends all festivals except the Flower Dance, and can be found in the Sunberry area when there is one.

Wren has five main heart events, seven side/crossover events, and a five-event storyline starting at 10 hearts.

  • 1 heart: Get Wren to 50 friendship points and then enter Robin's house.
  • 2 heart: Enter Sunberry while raining.
  • 4 heart: Enter the beach after 8PM (there is a config to turn off the time requirement).  CW: Contains brief mentions of transphobia.
  • 6 heart: Enter Sunberry Mountain. Must have unlocked the two unlockable characters (you'll know who) from Sunberry.
  • 8 heart: Enter Sunberry anytime. CW: Descriptions of mental illness.
NOTE: If you decline Wren's initial invitation, you can later trigger the event at your leisure by entering her house between 5:30 and 6PM.

  • Part 2: Wait five days, then enter Pelican Town.
  • Part 3: Wait nine days, then enter the cat cafe.

  • Part 5: Wait three days, then enter the mountains.

  • Lewis: Enter his house anytime, have seen Wren's 1 heart event. There are no other conditions because no one ever enters his house.
  • Rei and Aicha: See Wren's 1 heart event and unlock Rei and Aicha, then enter Sunberry Forest.
  • Sean from Ridgeside: Get Wren and Sean to three hearts and then enter her house.
  • Jonghyuk: Get Wren and Jonghyuk to two hearts and then enter his house.
  • Aicha and Jonghyuk: Get Wren and Jonghyuk to 3 hearts and Aicha to 2, then enter Wren's house.
  • Elliott: Get Wren and Elliott to four hearts, then enter Elliott's house.
  • Sterling (Always Raining in the Valley): Get Wren and Sterling to one heart each, be in spring, and enter Sunberry Forest any time after 8PM.


Future plans:

  • She will be romanceable and marryable (for female and nonbinary farmers) with a post-dating storyline and some pretty involved marriage options.  Possibly too ambitious, but that's a problem for future Tia.

Is this SVE compatible? More or less thanks to my beta testers, but there may be something I haven't caught.  There is no SVE-exclusive content.  Conflicts with SVE will be looked at, but unless it's causing crashes it'll be pretty low on my priority list.  Regarding lore, it does conflict with one of SVE's "mature" events - this particular event directly contradicts vanilla canon, so I will not add compatibility for it nor do I authorize any lore patches.  For the best experience, I recommend turning SVE's mature events off.
