Hey gaymers.
Some of the characters are really… lacking in dialogue? So I thought I’d try my hand at giving the villagers more personality! I’ve handwritten (not really) so many dialogue lines for some characters to give them more things to say. I hope you like autistic characters because there are a lot of them. Also the Farmer is gender neutral so. Idk if anyone would like a specific gender and pronoun for the Farmer hmu.
The characters I’ve changed are:
Shane: +155 new lines (He is trans, autistic, and bisexual.)
Haley: +153 new lines (She is hard of hearing and wears hearing aids. Super bisexual. I projected my OCD onto her and it’s kinda overplayed, but what can i say? I love being edgy.)
Caroline: +106 new lines (She’s a trans woman! Trusts and loves Pierre and Abigail w/ all of her heart. She likes being a housewife, and is very content w/ her life. Also didn’t cheat on her husband because, that’s really boring. :/)
Pierre: +56 new lines (He’s a genuinely good person who loves his wife & daughter a whole lot. No longer a jealous bastard, and just a regular dad. He’s anticapitalist, which yeah is ironic, but that’s the Joke.)
Vincent: +86 new lines (More dialogue… idk what anyone expected.)
Clint: +10 new lines (Respects Women / Big Lezzie. Depending on which file you choose. Take that as you will. I am a lesbian.)
Abigail: +118 new lines (Bisexual, transgender, autistic, you get the idea. She loves frogs now.)
Installation instructions:
Download the latest version
Open the file in a zip extraction program
Navigate to Stardew Valley\Content\Characters\Dialogue
Copy & paste the files from the mod into this folder.
Overwrite when asked.
And that’s it! :)
File options:
Main - The main mod. Has everyone I’ve written so far. The Wizard is a woman. Install this one first.
Male Wizard - Optional. Changes dialogue so the wizard is a man. Changes Caroline, Pierre, and Abigail. Use this one to overwrite main.
Clarice - Optional. Changes dialogue so my mod can go with the Clarice mod. Changes Clint’s dialogue only. Use this one to overwrite main.
