About this mod
This content-patcher mod replaces the default fishing farm map with a version providing more tillable soil and less water area.
Only map-data is altered, and it won't clip with the base Riverland map.

To clarify the title: this map edit does not increase the total size in tiles (squares) of the map.
Instead, it changes the land-to-water ratio, in order to provide more usable surface for the farm while maintaining the look and feel of the fishing farm map ("Riverland"). This is achieved by drawing the islands wider and merging them partly together, at the cost of some river area.
No objects or other map data has been moved. The fishing rate should remain the same as in the base map.
The newly created soil area is fully tillable and buildable, and includes data for debris spawn (wood, plants, trees...). Therefore the additional surfaces won't stay magically clean if you don't tend to them.
This map edit is intended for people who want to play on the Riverland map and wish for more room for farm organisation, but who also don't want to switch to extreme maps like the capitalist dream map.
You can also install the mod and use it in an already existing save on the Riverland map. For that, you only need to take care of emptying water tiles (e.g. remove crab pots) before installing the mod, so they don't land in the new soil areas.
Please note that if installed/activated, this mod will apply to all saves that use the Riverland farm. To use it on a new save, just create a new save and choose the Riverland farm.
You can deactivate it at any time, as long as you have cleaned the additional areas beforehand, and moved buildings away from them. It is therefore compatible with the base map.
I created this map for myself because I got frustrated by the very little possibilities to place buildings and make "orderly" crop fields in the original Riverland map. Also, I was new to nexusmods in general at the time, so I hadn't found the other similar mods (look below under "See also").

Version Notes and Changelog
Compatibility
- Stardew Valley version 1.5.6 or less
- SMAPI version 2.0 or higher
- ContentPatcher version 1.30.4 or less
Note: I updated my game and tools to versions SV 1.6.8, SMAPI 4.0.8 and CP 2.3.0 respectively, and did not encounter any warp bugs. The map is playable in 1.6.8 at least, but the changes made to the map data (such as building areas etc.) are missing.
- Apparently, this mod version does work with Stardew Valley version 1.6.8 or higher, but it is not fully tested and you may encounter bugs.
- The tree at the upper left corner of the map does not become transparent when the player walks behind it. I could not find a way to fix this.
- I did not find the time and energy to repack the map, therefore you can only use this mod with the content patcher.
I remade the map from "scratch" using the map delivered with Stardew Valley version 1.6.8 and drew the changes anew. Therefore, some graphical changes where made, but the topographical changes should be identical to version 1.0.0.
Compatibility
Those should be the minimum required versions. Newest or latest versions are always recommended.
- Stardew Valley version 1.6 or higher
- SMAPI version 4.0 or higher
- ContentPatcher version 2.0.0 or higher
Known Issues
- Please report any issues (such as non-tillable areas, non-walkable areas, graphic glitches...) to me by filing a bug on NexusMods.

This update fixes an oversight of mine. It was previously possible to leave the map by accident at the centre south border of the map (between the cliff and little bridge). This area is now blocked by a cliff.
Please note that this removes 1x10 tiles of tillable and buildable area (coordinates (28,68) to (37,68)).
Compatibility
No changes in tooling were made. Compatibility should be identical to the map version 1.1.0.

How to Contribute
I do not plan to continue modding actively, this is a very occasional edit of mine.
If you notice any bugs, problems or improvement possibilities, feel free to use the discussion/bug-report tools provided by NexusMods.
Please keep in mind that I may not be very active on here, but I will take care of checking in at least once a month.
I am looking for help to make the tree in the upper left corner transparent when the player moves behind it.
I will gladly take in any questions or remarks on this description, so that I can expand it if necessary. If you have any requests, be they either of technical or preferential nature, don't hesitate to contact me here on NexusMods.
Creation process (v1.0.0)
To create this edit, I followed the very good modding guides on the stardew wiki (https://stardewvalleywiki.com/Modding:Maps). Fore more details, please refer to those.
- Unpack the game files into a new folder (e.g. "Content (unpacked)"). Feel free to limit it to only the subfolders you want to edit.
- Make a working copy of the folder (e.g. "Content (Editing)")
- Open the map file in the map editor Tiled ("...\Stardew Valley\Content (Editing)\Maps\Farm_Fishing.tmx")
- Edit the map and save.
- Copy the edited map to the mod folder ("...\Stardew Valley\Mods\[CP] XezariorsLargerFishingFarmMap\assets\")
- Create the required files for the content patcher ("content.json", "manifest.json")
