i'm going to update this for 1.6 soon, please use this portrait with portraiture in the meantime.
to use the cp version:
1. set up smapi 2. download content patcher and put it in your mods folder 3. put this mod in your mods folder 4. run the game through smapi
if it doesn't work, you most likely have another portrait mod that loaded after mine. to fix that, you have to change the name so that in your mods folder it appears above the willy portrait (the mods load in alphabetical order, you want the willy portrait to load in last). alternatively, you could delete every other willy portrait you have in your mods folder.
if nothing works, just take the portrait and use it with portraiture.
to use this portrait with looking for love:
copy and paste the png at: Mods\Looking For Love\[CP] Looking for Love\[CP] Looking for Love\assets\Portraits
and make sure that the name of the new portrait is the same as the one you're replacing.
Hey! Incase you're still struggling with this, I have posted this in the forum aswell, but here's a fix: I figured out how to stop the game from using the original winter portrait instead of this one. This works only if you are using this mod in combination with lfl! Make sure you have installed this mod as instructed in the author's note, replacing the VanillaWilly.png-file in "[CP] Looking for Love > Portraits" with the .png from this mod, and making sure they are named the same!
To fix the issue in winter, go to [CP] Looking for Love > [CP] Looking for Love > content.json Scroll down in the .json-file and locate the category "Sprites and Portraits". Scroll down to find "Action": "EditImage", "Target": "Characters/Willy", "FromFile": "assets/Characters/VanillaWilly.png", "When": { "WillyOptions": "VanillaSprite"}, Copy: { "Action": "EditImage", "Target": "Portraits/Willy_Winter", "FromFile": "assets/Portraits/VanillaWilly.png", "When": { "WillyOptions": "VanillaPort" }, }, Paste this !beneath! the command you located. (Do not replace it, you'll want to keep them as two individual commands!) Save and exit the json-file. The game will now replace the winter portrait of Willy with the new portrait. Good luck! Let me know if you need any more help!
The original artist‘s mods are amazing!Thank you for your uploading and making it work smoothly! And could you please upload the artist‘s other mods here?Thank you so much!
All png and xnb can work as long as the file is named correctly! Just make a new folder in Portraiture > Portraits > New Folder (I named mine Unnamed DCInside Artist) > paste Willy.png in the new folder.
