The Advanced Charcoal Kilns mod adds a new type of charcoal kiln machine to Stardew Valley that accepts hardwood as well as regular wood. It also produces more coal from the same amount of wood provided. In order to keep it balanced, the time to process items is doubled.

Crafting an Advanced Charcoal Kiln
The Advanced Charcoal Kiln will become available to craft when the player
reaches level 8 in their Foraging skill. Once you have unlocked the
recipe to craft the Advanced Charcoal Kiln, you will need either:
10 hardwood and 3 iron bars
or
1 Charcoal Kiln, 3 hardwood, and 2 iron bars
Using the Kiln
Just like the regular charcoal kiln, you can add 10 wood to the kiln, and
the process will begin. Unlike the default kiln, this one will take 60
minutes (rather than 30 minutes), but will produce 4 coal.
The Advanced Charcoal Kiln will also accept hardwood. While this is more
expensive, 2 pieces of hardwood are added will produce 12 pieces of
coal.
The Advanced Charcoal Kiln will become available to craft when the player
