About this mod
A framework to let you give hats to custom pets, and let you change how they are displayed for both new pets and pet resprites.

Hats On Pets Plus (HOPP for short) provides a framework for other mods to display hats on custom pets or pet resprites.
Giving a hat to pets (other than horses) is a feature that was added in Stardew Valley 1.6, but the game only let you give hats to dogs and cats.
This mod aims to remove this limitation and allow modders to configure how the hat be displayed on their pet by using a simple Content Patcher script.
HOPP will not automatically apply to custom pets or pet resprites if the mod that provides the pet does not contain data on how hats should be drawn.

The modder documentation for Hats On Pets Plus is mostly complete, you can also contact the author on discord (@Syma on the Stardew Valley server) for help with setting up your mod.
COMPATIBILITY
This mod is compatible with Stardew Valley 1.6.4 and later versions (currently 1.6.6) and works in both single-player and multiplayer.
It is currently untested on macOS and Linux.
As of now I don't know of any incompatible mod.
However this mod WILL have conflicts with any other mod that specifically alter the vanilla code for drawing hats on pets.

- Install the latest version of SMAPI and Content Patcher
- Unzip the mod folder into Stardew Valley/Mods.
- Install any mod or Content Pack that support Hats On Pets Plus
- Run the game using SMAPI.
