Artisan Goods now require reagents! Use glass shards (from Clint) or vinegar/sugar for the mayo machine, cheese press, keg, and preserves jar the way you use coal for the furnace and fish smoker.

Artisan Goods now require reagents!
Use either glass shards (purchasable from Clint) or vinegar/sugar for the mayonnaise machine, cheese press, keg, and preserves jar the same way you use coal for the furnace and fish smoker.
Options
Using the GMCM set the mayonnaise machine, cheese press, keg, and preserves jar to require vinegar/sugar, glass shards, or refined quartz! Requiring nothing additional (aka vanilla) is enabled by default. There's also an option to add glass shards to Clint's inventory for 25g each (disabled by default). Please note that using vinegar/sugar early game may make some goods unprofitable! In terms of profitability either glass shards or quartz you find/refine yourself are best. Making your own vinegar/sugar rather than purchasing it is more cost effective and will increase the profitability and immersion should you choose that option.
