The Mines elevator has a new sound. Or any sound you like. Or it has no sound at all! It's totally up to you. Additionally this mod does not interfere with the Ginger Island cave puzzle or your use of the Singing Stone. My main goal with this mod was to "set it and forget it" so I could change the elevator sound and then not worry about how it would affect other parts of the game.
For me the original elevator sound is too lengthy and too high pitch, so this mod's default replacement sound is shorter and lower (with a couple other small adjustments). But there are other options including silence if you so choose. All audio files are my own edits of the original in game elevator sound or, as in one case, just silence.
What does this mod do?
- Customize or silence the sound of the elevator in the Mines
- Does not interfere with Singing Stones like that one you got from the Museum or in the Ginger Island puzzle
- Includes compatibility with the Skull Cavern Elevator and Better Elevator - Continued mods' elevator (if another mod adds an elevator anywhere in game, feel free to let me know)
- Integrates with Generic Mod Config Menu if you have it (and I highly recommend it) allowing you to easily select your elevator sound (changing the audio requires restarting the game for it to take effect)
- You are free to use your own sounds! Feel free to replace the provided PlayerCreated.wav in the assets folder with your own PlayerCreated.wav file and then choose "Player Created Sound" in GMCM. I cannot help you with audio problems if you do this, but it should be simple to do. You may want to keep the audio short (I would suggest 3 seconds maximum). You may prefer this option if you are accustomed to another mod's elevator sound already.
