NB! v1.2 now includes the ability to choose your final prize via in-game config. Please read the instructions below as the process via GMCM is a little different than you may be used to.
This pack adds another round of 24 prizes to the Prize Machine in the Mayor's house, occupying slots 32-55, with a random high value item being awarded from prize number 56 onwards.
This is how the prize machine will work with this mod installed...
Prizes 1-31: The regular prizes from the vanilla game, see the Prize Ticket wiki page here.
Prizes 32-54: The prizes added by this mod. You can expect a similar pattern to the first round but with slightly more valuable/powerful/rare items. Many slots choose from a pool of multiple items and are awarded in variable quantities.
Prizes 55: The final reward of round 2. You can either let the game choose from a small pool of highly sought-after items for you, or you can choose from an expanded list via the config menu (read more below).
Prizes 56+: One item from a pool of 25 valuable items, randomly chosen.
I'm not going to spoil the rewards, but some things you can expect are seeds for a rare crop, some help with hard-to-find items for CC bundles, a rare item of clothing, the occasional item from late game areas, and a very rare item to mark the end of round 2. There is also a special celebratory reward in the 100th prize slot, for those of you hardcore enough to acquire that many prize tickets in a single playthrough.
Installation
1. Install Stardew Valley and SMAPI. Requires v1.6 of the game.
2. Install the Prize Machine Custom Prizes (Framework) mod. Please use v1.2.3 or later of this mod.
3. Install Generic Mod Config Menu if you wish to choose the final prize manually.
4. Install this mod (extract it to your Stardew Valley\Mods\ folder)
It should be safe to add/remove this pack at any time, but if you have any problems, please let me know.
NEW IN v1.2: CONFIG OPTIONS FOR THE FINAL PRIZE! (READ CAREFULLY)
If you have installed GMCM (see link in installation instructions above) you can choose the reward you want to receive for the final prize of round 2 (prize #55).
Please note that you cannot access these config options from the main menu! You have to access it after you have loaded your savegame!
After loading a game, you can find the config menu by pressing Esc, navigating to the Options tab , scrolling to the bottom of the menu and clicking on "Mod Options". You will then need to find the config for the framework mod (not this content pack) - it will appear in the list as "prizeMachineCustomPrizes".
Choosing a reward for prize slot 55: There is a drop-down menu for "Prize '54'" with 11 items you can choose from (including some average items for those of you that don't want to earn such a high-value prize from the prize machine).
You will need to actually click into the drop-down menu and choose you preferred item (even if the item you want is already the one displayed first in the list!). Don't forget to click save before returning to your game.
Letting this content pack choose for you: Simply never go into the config menu for this mod, and when you get to prize 55, the content pack will default to choosing one of three rare items for you. If you make a choice and later wish to revert to this default option, re-open the config menu, click "Default" at the bottom of the window, make sure "Activate Mod" is checked, then click Save without touching the drop-down menu.
Turning custom prizes off entirely: Uncheck the "Activate Mod" option.
Special thanks to Tomokisan1 for the Framework mod, and for all their help getting this up and running. If you have any thoughts about item selection/balance or wish to make an item request for the final prize pool, please let me know.
