About this mod
Produces 15 seeds of a single type from 30 mixed seeds added to the seed maker. This is handy if you want to plant your mixed seeds but also like a neat looking farm and to plan out your crops.

If you don't want your mixed seeds to make fiber and you don't want to plant them because they mess up your crop planning and the appearance of your plot then this mod will let you put 30 mixed seeds into the Seed Maker and it will "sort" the seeds to produce 15 seeds of the same type. Only single season and single harvest seeds are included so no need to remove any unwanted regrowing or multi-season crops.
With the mod you can use up your unwanted mixed seeds to give you a single harvest crop which enables you to better plan out crops for the season and not have messy missing spots that result from plants that are ready for harvest before others or regrowing crops all over the place.
How it works
This mod uses the Producer Framework Mod to allow you to add 30 mixed seeds to the seed maker. The process consumes half the mixed seeds and outputs 15 seeds of a single type.
Three single harvest crops from each season are included as well as a very small chance of getting Starfruit seeds (instead of vanilla Ancient Fruit seeds). The types and percentage chance of output are as follows:
18.3% Parsnip
10% Potato
5% Cauliflower
18.3% Radish
10% Melon
5% Red Cabbage
18.3% Bok Choy
10% Yam
5% Pumpkin
0.1% Starfruit
Is this balanced?
As mixed seeds are a relatively scarce resource and half your mixed seeds are consumed in the process, the outcome is balanced and not over-powered. The goals of this mod are to use up an unused resource (gathered legitimately) in an aesthetically pleasing and efficient way.
Red Cabbage seeds are available for purchase from Pierre only in year 2 however mixed seeds can give Artichoke which is also a year 2 purchase so this seems fair enough. Starfruit was chosen as a single-harvest crop to replace the Ancient Fruit seeds possible from the Seed Maker. Starfruit seeds are available for purchase only after unlocking the desert however a starfruit seed is given as a museum reward and the probability of getting starfruit seeds from the process is sufficiently low so this also seems fair enough.
There is very little profit that can be gained. If you buy 10 seeds from Krobus on 3 Thursdays it will cost you 900 gold (I believe these are the cheapest way to buy mixed seeds consistently). All the seed types returned as output would sell for less than 900 gold. Only the Starfruit seeds would result in a moderate profit if sold but the chance of getting these is sufficiently low.
