Introduced in the 1.5 update, special orders are a nice addition to the game but I think this mechanic could have been implemented better because it can be frustrating to see orders you don't wanna do every time you check the board (I'm looking at you, Demetrius). ConcernedApe gave prerequisites to only 6 special orders and these were not enough for my liking ! That's why I decided to change some tags so easier orders have more chance to show up early and tougher orders will only appear after some events occured. Let's say this mod is an attempt to create a difficulty curve.
I managed to edit 7 special orders : "Aquatic Overpopulation", "Gifts for George", "Fragments of the past," "Gus' Famous Omelet", "Crop Order", "Pierre's Prime Produce" and "A Curious Substance". Take a look at the article if you wanna see the new prerequisites. ;)
It has been tested but not extensively so any feedback will be greatly appreciated. I highly recommend to download (or redownload) and use this mod when starting a new save, or at least in a save where the special orders board is still locked (before Fall 2 Year 1 in a vanilla game). Not sure how it will turn out in a save with ongoing special orders...
Any other file modifying the "RequiredTags" lines of every special order mentioned here will conflict with this mod.
