It's the beginning of the great new journey! Say 'goodbye' to the base game yellow goat and get ready for many beautiful breeds and variations coming to Pelican Town in the next few weeks!
-> we've created a Ko-fi page, where you can check out mod updates, upcoming mods, vote in polls and support our work! We've launched the first community goal there, so make sure to check it out!
-> GOAT MANURE is a new item produced by male goats everyday. Not only does it add a bit of realism, it works the same as the Basic Fertilizer and therefore makes male goats useful even without exchanging them for Mutton!
- if you want to use other manure mods, or don't want to use manure at all, you can now download a Goat Mod version without it! Both versions are available in the files tab of the mod.
- if you're playing the no manure version, you can delete it any moment and install the regular one, for the goats to start producing Goat Manure item. If you're playing the regular version, you can delete it and install the goat manure one - Goat Manure you already own at that moment will turn into an error item, so you may want to sell or trash it before. The goats will also stop producing it.
-> compatible with Digus' Animal Husbandry Mod!
- when playing without the Animal Husbandry Mod, SMAPI will display a warning that [AHM] Goat Mod for Animal Husbandry [the mod adding the compatibility] could not be loaded. The Goat Mod itself works perfectly fine without it, so you may either ignore it or delete the [AHM] goat_mod folder, leaving only the [CP] goat_mod.
- when slayed or exchanged for Mutton, the amount of meat you get depends on the breed, gender and friendship level with the goat!
- give treats to your animals! All our goats like the treats the basic game goat does, so it's easy to remember!
- all goats get impregnated; all goats can be chosen for the Animal Contest.
-> get completely new goats while still being able to buy the base game one!
-> eight unique breeds based on real life goats [seven from the previous version and a brand new one!]
-> male and female options for all goat breeds! The male goats obviously don't give you milk, but they give you more meat and produce manure!
- SAANEN GOAT is a perfect replacement for the base game goat. For the same price you can get a beautiful goat as white as lovely as a goat can be! Both males and females have four sprite variations visible when they get older!
- TOGGENBURG GOAT is a pretty goat with white Swiss markings. Being one of the most productive diary goat breeds your Toggenburg Goats will produce milk daily! Four variations are available for males, females and kids!
- VALAIS BLACKNECK GOAT is a majestic, long-haired goat with unique half black and half white coat! Not only is it beautiful, it also gives you milk! Available in three variations for all males, females and kids!
- BOER GOAT is a white meat goat with brown head. It gives you little milk, but a lot of meat! It's also easy to maintain - it's relatively cheap and will thrive in just a basic Barn. Four variations are available for males, females and kids!
- KALAHARI RED GOAT is a red meat goat from the Kalahari Desert. You'll need only 2,000 gold and a Barn to get yourself one! Four color variations are available for males, females and kids!
-> NUBIAN GOAT is a bit pricier than the other ones, but it may be used as both diary and meat animal! It also has lovely long ears. Three color variations are available for males, females and kids!
-> LAMANCHA GOAT balances Nubian out with its very short ears! Some may say it looks really elegant, some may say it looks like an alien, but either way it's pretty distinctive! Three color variations are available for males, females and kids!
-> ROYAL GOLDEN GUERNSEY is a rare breed of golden-coloured goat. It's a bit pricey and requires the Deluxe Barn, but gives you Large Goat Milk from the very beginning! Sixteen variations are available for females and four for males and kids!

To install, extract the zip file and place the extracted folder in the mods folder of the game.
