This mod has you covered! After joining the Adventurer’s Guild, Marlon will send you an anvil in the mail so you can become your own blacksmith.
You can also purchase an anvil from the guild shop for 2,500g.
How to use:
Upgrade your tools through a mini-game inspired by the strength test at the Fair Festival. The goal is to build up points with each attempt, and your total score at the end determines if the upgrade succeeds.
- Equip the tool you want to upgrade.
- Make sure you have the required materials in your inventory (for example, hold the axe and have 5 copper bars to upgrade it).
- Scoring: Play multiple rounds to build up points. The total score determines success or failure.
- Bonus: Reach the target score, and you’ll save 25% of the materials.
- Skill effect: Higher skill levels reduce the target score, making upgrades easier and saving you materials.
- Failure: If your score falls short, you’ll lose 25% of the materials, and the upgrade won’t proceed.
To break open geodes hold any geode (also mystery boxes) and interact with the anvil - it'll open the geode menu
Fishing rod upgrades:
The upgrade path for the fishing rod is Bamboo Pole → Training Rod → Fiberglass Rod → Iridium Rod → Advanced Iridium Rod.
- Bamboo Pole to Training Rod requires 100 wood.
- Training Rod to Fiberglass Rod requires 10 refined quartz.
- Fiberglass Rod to Iridium Rod requires 5 iridium bars.
- Iridium Rod to Advanced Iridium Rod requires 40 iridium bars.
Scythe upgrades:
- Scythe to Golden Scythe requires 25 gold bars.
- Golden Scythe to Iridium Scythe requires 40 iridium bars.
Trash can upgrades:
To upgrade the trash can, you need the usual materials for each level (e.g., 5 copper bars) and hold any trash item.
Backpack upgrades:
- First upgrade cost 3 wool
- Second upgrade cost 3 cloth
Trinket upgrades:
Due to the way trinkets are coded in the game, upgrading them involves some randomness, but the odds are in your favor meaning you not necessarily upgrade by 1 at a time - you can jump from level 1 trinket to max level trinket in 1 upgrade.
The stats of upgraded trinkets stay within the vanilla range and cost 3 iridium bars.
Stats can only improve, but they remain capped by in-game limits. For example, the maximum level of the parrot egg depends on your total earnings. If your current earnings cap it at level 2, you cannot upgrade it further until you earn more money.
The magic quiver has 4 variants. The regular version can be upgraded to Rapid, Heavy, or Perfect. Rapid versions can only be upgraded to Rapid or Perfect, and Heavy versions can only be upgraded to Heavy or Perfect. Perfect quivers cannot be upgraded further.
Tool upgrade skills:
- Axe upgrades depend on your foraging level.
- Pickaxe and Pan upgrades depend on your mining level.
- Hoe and Watering Can upgrades depend on your farming level.
- Fishing Rod upgrades depend on your fishing level.
- Trash Can and Bag upgrades depend on your overall farmer level.
- Trinket upgrades depend on your combat level.
No further updates are currently planned. The mod feels complete as it is, but feel free to suggest ideas
