Hey all! I turned this mod from "Hidden" to "Visible" per request, but on the whole this mod is not complete! It functions but is not polished, so there may be cutscenes and dialogue that function differently than expected. I am going to update soon, but in the meantime, download at your own risk!
Mayor Louise
This mod was directly inspired by Hitme11's Vanillaish Lewish and Ladies of the Valley, and directly uses some of their artwork. I am uploading this based on their permission statement, which is:
PERMISSION: I decided to make this mod into a small community project that built around my arts as source material, which means you can make any edits and upload them yourself as separate mods on Nexus without asking me for permission. Feel free to do so and have fun with it!
And ohhh, did I decide to have fun with it! I was very taken with the portraits for a female Mayor, despite avoiding genderbend mods in general. I personally like to play with mods while keeping the vanilla flavor of the game intact... but I couldn't shake the idea of Lewis being an old lady, and how much sense it makes for the character. Therefore, this mod is quite lightweight and changes very little about the Mayor, besides gendered dialogue.
Available with glasses only, because imo it's a perfect character detail to have her wearing expensive golden glasses.
Changes this mod makes: - Lewis becomes Louise, and is referred to with she/her pronouns throughout dialogue, quests, festivals and cutscenes. - Portraits and sprites change, with an option for Hitme's Vanilla Portraits, a Nyapu-style Portrait, and a Leyalluna-style Portrait - Small adjustments in dialogue to add to Louise's character (such as referring to her curls, instead of her mustache, while at the beach). - fixed the winter sprites with 1.1, now fully 1.6 compatible
How to Use: CP Version: - Download the zip file - Unzip the file into your Mods folder - copy and paste your portraits of choice into the Portraits folder
Compatibilities: - Compatible with Nyapu and Leyalluna portrait mods, as this is designated to load last. - So far, seems compatible with SVE. I have not scoured the dialogue the same way I did for the vanilla game, but issues should be minimal. - Untested with any other expansions such as Ridgeside or Scarp. - Untested with dialogue expansion packs - Incompatible with Seasonal mods, such as Seasonal Cute Characters
