About this mod
Content pack for mistyspring’s Farmer Portraits For 1.6, allowing your farmer’s custom portraits to switch for both seasons and festivals/events and have custom reactions while talking to NPCs.

I saw some people on the Farmer Portraits page who were interested in being able to have festival outfits as well as everything else the available portrait templates already offered. There were other mods already on Nexus that did all that and more, but the "and more" was kind of the problem in my experience... If you, like me, want to keep it simple, this is for you.
There are only four config options, and you can have them switched on or off in any combination:
Seasonal Portraits
Enables farmer portraits to change per season
Festival Portraits
Enables farmer portraits to change per festival
Island Portraits
Enables a unique set of farmer portraits while visiting Ginger Island.
These don't change seasonally. ~Island Time~ is its own season, you know?
Desert Portraits
Enables a unique set of farmer portraits while visiting Calico Desert.
These don't change seasonally. The desert's always hot and sunny!
Besides Farmer Portraits For 1.6, no other mods are required or integrated in any way. This is just a simple template, and is feature-complete for what I wanted it to do. Hopefully there's a few other people who want that too!
It's not required, but Generic Mod Config Menu will allow you to edit your preferences in-game. If you prefer, booting the game once will also generate a config.json inside the mod folder that you can just manually customize yourself.
A readme is included in the files and also posted here that will help you customize your portraits and reactions. Even more specific instructions are inside the files themselves for those brave souls who want to add more portrait slots above and beyond the default!
Installation:
- Extract .zip into the Mods folder located inside your Stardew Valley install. Done! Remember to install outside of your existing Farmer Portraits folder. You can only use one content pack for that mod at a time, so if you were previously using a different one, you will have to remove it from your Mods folder.
Uninstallation:
- Delete the [CP] Farmer Portraits - Seasonal Emotional Festivals folder from your Stardew Valley\Mods folder, making sure to make a backup copy of your custom portraits beforehand (if you haven't already.)
Acknowledgements:
- thankyou to mistyspring for updating Farmer Portraits to be compatible with Stardew 1.6+ and for giving me permission to post this content pack
- additional thankyous to aedenthorn for the original Farmer Portraits mod
- yet more thankyous to jazzybee and Poltergeister for providing beautiful assets and making it so easy for people to make new portraits!
thanks for visiting! happy farming (:
