About this mod
A lush meadow farm dotted with wildflowers. Beyond the lake lies woodlands with forage and monsters aplenty. Features a custom farm cave/starter farmhouse layout/fish catch pools, too many berry bushes, and secrets. Highly configurable. A Wilderness-style farm map with secluded monster areas.
- Requirements
- Permissions and credits
- Changelogs
- Farm added through AdditionalFarms: Does NOT replace any Vanilla farms and is selectable from the farm type menu on starting a new save.
- Progression-based elements: Reach certain gameplay milestones to unlock and access all features of the map.
- Separated monster area: Unlike the Vanilla Wilderness farm, monsters exclusively spawn in the Hidden Woodlands sub-area, which can be reached by interacting with the boat near the lake dock. For a true Wilderness experience, activate the spawn monsters on farm option on starting a new save.
- Custom starter giftbox items: Choose before starting a new save!
- Diggable grass tiles: There are designated crop plots prepared, but feel free to dig in anywhere!
- Custom fish/crab pot catch pool: Fish for forest and mountain fish, and more...
- Custom forage pool and respawning hardwood stumps: Forage is plentiful in the Hidden Woodlands, but without travelling there, hardwood stumps are limited in the main farm map.
- Custom quarry farm cave (toggleable)
- Custom starter farmhouse layout
- Supports 8-person multiplayer!
- Farm customization
Want to adjust these features to your liking? You can do it all in the mod config! Install Generic Mod Config Menu for easier in-game customization.
This mod contains several Vanilla progression-based gameplay elements. These features (except the minecarts) are all tied to the "Hidden Woods" config option, which is toggleable if you do not want the combat elements at all. However, setting it to false entirely cuts off access to forage items while also greatly reducing berry bush and hardwood source availability.
Playing with the Hidden Woods option is recommended for your first playthrough of this map (and because I've put in a lot of work into them! ;)). Additionally, turning on the "Spawn monsters on the farm" Vanilla option is also recommended for the true Wilderness experience.
The custom farm cave functions mainly as a quarry cave, but the dirt tiles are diggable and can be used as a greenhouse. You can fill your watering can in the pond!
Lastly, visit the Hidden Woodlands after 7 pm for a pleasant surprise :)
Spoilers for certain features below:
- Full map of the Hidden Woodlands (why would you want to click the link if you want to discover things yourself? Also, whoever can see the layout reference gets my kudos.)
- There is a ~1% chance of fishing a Prismatic Shard from the farm lake dock.
- There is a ~20% chance of fishing a Lava Katana from the farm lake dock.
- Different sets of monsters spawn during daytime and nighttime in the Hidden Woodlands. Your nighttime foes may be stronger...
- As the seasons change, some monster spawns may change, too.
- Slime Eggs spawn in the Hidden Woodlands during Summer and Winter.
- The Springs sub-area has a functional pool; you can change behind the indicated bush and go in the springs from the indicated direction in the image below:
- Starter Gift: Changes stuff you get from the starter gift box.
- Available options: Farmer (15x Parsnip Seeds), Adventurer (1x Silver Saber, 1x Life Elixir, 5x Field Snack), Florist (15x Tulip Bulbs, 2x Bee House), Vintner (15x Strawberry Seeds, 5x Keg), Canner (10x Bean Starter, 5x Preserves Jar).
- Custom Farm Cave: Enables custom farm cave. Set to false if using other modded farm caves. Disabling this will disable Farm Cave minecart destination.
- Hidden Woods: Toggles the additional sub-area of the map (see Mod Contents section for what this option changes).
- (NEW!) Buildable Woods: Toggles ability to construct farm buildings in the Hidden Woods (set to false if Hidden Woods is false!)
- Grassy Hill: Changes terrain on the east hill from dirt to grass.
- Southeast Pond: Toggles pond on the southeast corner of the farm.
- Farm Lamp Posts: Toggles pre-built lamp posts in the farm map.
Compatible with expansions like Stardew Valley Expanded, etc.
Compatible with recolor mods: Vibrant Pastoral, Earthy, Starblue, etc.
Not Compatible with mods that replace FarmCave.tmx (unless Custom Farm Cave is set to false).
- Install SMAPI, Content Patcher, and Farm Type Manager.
- Install crystalinerose Tilesheets and Sharogg's tilesheets.
- (Optional) Install Generic Mod Config Menu.
- Unzip "(CR) Kisaa's Wildflower Acres Farm" archive into your SteamLibrary/common/Stardew Valley/Mods folder.
- Run the game using SMAPI.
- Have fun!
- Do not install this mod on an existing save file, as it will result in wrong debris/object/building spawns.
- Not yet properly tested on multiplayer. Feel free to and report any multiplayer-related issues back to me.
- When the Hidden Woods and Buildable Woods options are set to true, farmhands in multiplayer cannot load the map. As I have not found a fix for this, it is recommended to toggle both of those options to false when using this farm for multiplayer.
As usual please report any bugs here on Nexus, or you can reach out to me (crystalinerose) in the Stardew Valley Discord for a faster response.
Thank you to the patient folks in the modding channels for helping me during the creation of this mod!
