You can now ask Robin to construct a large solar panel that produces batteries at a higher rate than craftable solar panels, encourages increased grass growth, and protects watered soil from drying up.

Building: The solar panel footprint is 3x1 tiles but the tiles on either side of the center tile (the base of the pole) are passable though not tillable (these extra two tiles allow more of the panel to become transparent when walking behind it so you can see what you're doing). Placement also requires the 5x4 tile area above the base (the "shaded" area covered by the panels) be passable in order to prevent overlap with other buildings.



Unlock condition: After learning the vanilla solar panel crafting recipe

Cost: 100000g, 40 refined quartz, 20 iron bars, 20 gold bars (Robin will be done the next day)

Battery production: 1 battery is produced every sunny day in summer, every other sunny day in spring/fall, and every 3 sunny days in winter

Grass growth: Higher chance of new grass growing and existing grass spreading in the "shaded" area. New grass is more likely to be blue.

Water retention: Watered soil in the "shaded" area will remain watered until the start of the next season

Building
  • Solar Panel Cost: Cost for building the Solar Panel
  • Refined Quartz Amount: Amount of refined quartz for building Solar Panel
  • Iron Bar Amount: Amount of iron bars for building Solar Panel
  • Gold Bar Amount: Amount of gold bars for building Solar Panel
  • Conditional Unlock: Whether the condition defined by Unlock Condition must be met for the Solar Panel to be available in Robin's build menu
  • Unlock Condition: The condition that must be met for the Solar Panel to be available in Robin's build menu (Conditional Unlock must also be selected)
Battery Production
  • Spring Battery Count: Number of batteries the Solar Panel produces on sunny days in spring
  • Summer Battery Count: Number of batteries the Solar Panel produces on sunny days in summer
  • Fall Battery Count: Number of batteries the Solar Panel produces on sunny days in fall
  • Winter Battery Count: Number of batteries the Solar Panel produces on sunny days in winter
  • Spring Battery Counter: Number of sunny days it takes the Solar Panel to produce in spring
  • Summer Battery Counter: Number of sunny days it takes the Solar Panel to produce in summer
  • Fall Battery Counter: Number of sunny days it takes the Solar Panel to produce in fall
  • Winter Battery Counter: Number of sunny days it takes the Solar Panel to produce in winter
Grass Growth
  • New Grass Growth: Toggle whether tiles under the Solar Panel have an increased chance of growing new grass (default: true)
  • New Grass Growth Rate: Set the chance a tile under the Solar Panel will grow new grass each day (in addition to the usual grass growth chance) (default: 0.15f)
  • Grass Spreading: Toggle whether grass under the Solar Panel has an increased spreading rate
  • Grass Spread Rate: Set the chance grass under the Solar Panel has to spread each day (in addition to the usual grass spreading chance) (default: 0.65f)
Water Retention
  • Water Retention Increase: Set the increased chance a watered tilled soil tile under the Solar Panel will retain water the next day (this is in addition to any fertilizers or other modifications to water retention chances, e.g. the game checks a tile with Basic Retention Soil fertilizer which has a 33% chance of retaining water and if it's "shaded" by a panel then this mod does a separate check based on the config setting but either check succeeding will retain water that day) (default: 1f)
  • Season Reset: Toggle whether to skip this mod's water retention check at the start of a new season (default: true)
