Edited to add: obviously, this is incompatible with other bus recolors. But if your bus unexpectedly has another texture and you think you don't have other bus recolors, I was reminded recently that some are less obvious than others. For instance, Way Back Pelican Town includes in its superb package of effects a bus recolor (configurable). So does the unofficial fix to Way Back Pelican Town's SVE add-on, called Medieval Aurora Refurbished. So this is something to keep in mind if you have issues.
cozygoaty's lovely Cat Bus mod didn't work for SDV 1.6, and that simply had to be remedied, with coazygoaty's permission. Thus the Cat Bus has been informed of the new requirements, and after a few quizzical rumblings and purrings, is good to go again. The opportunity for all Studio Ghibli lovers to head to the desert in whimsical style is here again!

In case of any technical issue, come to me, please. It's been tested and works fine. There's just one thing you have to be careful of: if the player's speed reaches 9, whether it's through CJB Cheats or an accumulation of different buffs, the animation that happens after you buy the bus tickets and until you board the bus becomes wonky. You get stuck running in place for a few seconds, then you're suddenly getting into the bus and all goes back to normal. The return trip is completely normal.
It's not game-breaking, just a short visual glitch. This isn't specific to this mod, I had it happen with the base game and several other bus recolors, but I still mention it here because it's unusual and so no one thinks a weird incompatibility is at play.
Anyway, time for the Cat Bus to depart. Enjoy your furry magical ride, and remember to always be kind to children. You never know what kind of grief they're living with. Totoro will thank you for it.
