Ever wished that Sebastian was a little more mature? Well, wish no more! Kantrip's Older Sebastian is an NPC dialogue/events expansion that performs a complete overhaul of Sebastian's character. 20+ new events, hundreds of new lines of dialogue, custom secret notes and more!

What if Sebastian was Robin's younger brother? What if he followed his dream, moved to Zuzu City and started a new life there?
What if things went horribly wrong?
Sebastian is back in Pelican Town, living with his sister's family in their basement. He has a new set of problems -- rent, constant tension with his brother-in-law and uncertainty about the future. He also has a new set of relationships, new dialogue and a whole lot of history that comes back to haunt him. He's the same guy... but also not.
OVERVIEW:
Kantrip's Older Sebastian is an NPC mod for SDV's vanilla character. It updates all of his vanilla dialogue, adds hundreds of lines of new dialogue (including after marriage!), adds 20+ new events (both before and after marriage), and tweaks his relationships with other SDV characters. Older Seb is in his mid thirties and has led a pretty rocky life, including some prison time.
This mod includes some darker themes, mostly drug use and unplanned parenthood. You can disable some of the more serious events (labeled "black events") with a configuration change, and the mod will provide alternative versions for most of them. However, I highly recommend playing with Black Events *ON*, in order to get the most complete version of Older Seb's backstory. Additionally, there is some mildly suggestive content in Sebastian's marriage dialogue that can be turned off with the "clean marriage dialogue" setting. I did not add a swear filter toggle, but there are only two f-bombs in the entire mod.
NOTE: The Seven Hearts event is the first "Black Event" of the mod. If you want to see this event, you will need to not start dating Seb until after this event is seen (and make sure black events are enabled via the config file). Otherwise, you will trigger the 8 hearts (white) event instead.
MOTIVATION:
This mod came about because I always liked Sebastian's vibes, but could never get past his attitude and his whiny vanilla dialogue. I felt that he would be a more interesting person (and marriage candidate) if he actually went out there and lived a little before settling down. I also didn't want his dreams to end after he marries the farmer. He should have some sort of career path that he's pursuing for himself, even if the farmer chooses to divorce him later.
Older Seb has *Seen Some Shit*. His life didn't go the way he hoped it would -- by the time you meet him, he's scarred and battered. But not broken. Unlike vanilla Shane, Older Seb never gave up on realizing his dreams. He just... needs a little help. Both from the farmer *and* his family.
LORE CHANGES (read this for compatibility questions):
I made one major change to Seb's relationship with his family that may impact how well this mod plays with others:
Sebastian is now Robin's younger brother -- not her son.
This makes Maru his niece and Demetrius his brother-in-law. Any dialogue mods that reference Robin/Seb in a mother/son relationship will therefore have lore compatibility issues with this mod.
SVE Compatibility: For SVE specifically, I've disabled some events and a few schedule changes. Nothing drastic, but it should help with compatibility. For a full list of SVE patches, please see the Troubleshooting and FAQ article.

All of the screenshots for this mod were taken with DCBurger's High Res Portraits + OrangePie's Short Hair Sebastian mods. They are amazing, and can be gotten to work with Portraiture even though neither has been updated for some time.
* Secret Note Framework -- needed to display the custom secret notes for Older Sebastian, but not a requirement to run the mod.
* Wedding Anniversaries -- for custom wedding anniversary text and unique gifts from Older Seb. Not a requirement to run the mod.
