I don't like being forced to reach level 10 in all skills in order to master any skill. I don't like losing mastery experience because some skills aren't at level 10. So I created this mod to change how skill mastery works:

  • You can access the Mastery Cave at any point. You no longer need to wait until all skills are level 10. This lets you plan your progress better and utilize the other features of this mod.
  • You gain mastery experience from any skill that is at level 10, or higher with other mods. You no longer need to wait until all skills are level 10. This results in no wasted experience and lets you benefit from your high-level skills sooner.
  • You can only choose mastery rewards for skills you have reached level 10 with. This prevents you from gaining powers in skills you haven't leveled up yet.
  • By default, mastered skills continue to contribute to mastery experience. This option can be toggled in the mod's settings.

Overall, this results in a simpler process, lets you build your character how you want to, and doesn't completely remove the grind.

This mod is compatible with the Walk Of Life - Profession Overhaul mod (limited testing) and the Vanilla Plus Professions mod (minimal testing), both with the following changes:

  • Access to the mastery cave is not restricted.
  • Mastered skills *do* contribute to Mastery experience, if this mod's settings are configured to.

Compatibility with other mastery/experience/skill mods is unknown.
