NOTE: Variations are fixed and finally working thanks to help from TheLimeyDragon! If you had the mod installed and variations enabled, your cows will now be correctly assigned their skins retroactively.
This mod includes three cow recolours (adult and baby); two for the brown cow and one for the white.(maybe I'll add more someday)
You can set your default cow colours (cows from old saves will use these skins) and enable variations that will be randomly assigned to any cow that is born or purchased.
These are my original cows from way back in 2016, now officially converted to work with Content Patcher and Stardew Valley 1.6. Enjoy!
(now with 100% less XNB!)
Installation
Troubleshooting
If SMAPI is saying you have missing textures, or pigs are showing up purple or green, this could be an issue with Alternative Textures. Check in your AT mod (or general Mods) folder to see if the [AT] Example pack folder is present; if so, you'll have to delete it.

Installation
- Install SMAPI
- Install Content Patcher
- (optional) Install Generic Mod Config Menu for easy config setting management
- Unzip the mod folder into Stardew Valley/Mods
- Run the game using SMAPI
