About the Keep Vanilla Spaceship Decoration feature:

Allows the player to keep vanilla and mod placed spaceship decoration items that come with the ship hab.

After v1.11.36 (2024 May update which came with the Spaceship Interior Decoration feature), vanilla "clutter items" are auto-deleted when the player modifies a ship in the Spaceship Editor menu.

It can also optionally transfer all (not only vanilla) decoration items to the inventory of the current companion instead of the cargo.

Important: vanilla decoration items found in player owned ships are stored in save games so enabling this feature affects save game data. As such, it is recommended to create a hard save game before enabling this feature.


Limitation:

1) As per "legacy" design, all player dropped (built) decoration items are being transfered to the cargo of the Homeship upon modifying a ship.

(Won't be auto-transferred: Containers, Furnitures, Weapons/Armors on Weapon/Armor Racks, items placed in Containers).

(Will be auto-transferred: player dropped Misc, Aid and Resource items found in the ship).

2) When the player modifies their a ship, they need to board this ship afterward (before modifying another ship, exiting the game or reloading another save game) for vanilla decoration items to show up.


About this feature's settings:

1) bKeepVanillaSpaceshipDecoration:

Turn on/off this feature.

2) bSpaceshipDecorationMoveToCurrentCompanionInventory:

Moves all (not only vanilla/mod placed) decoration items to the inventory the current companion instead of the cargo upon modifying a ship.

Technial note: this setting affects all transferred items not only clutter items. As it is implemented in the code of Keep Vanilla Spaceship Decoration, it doesn't work if Keep Vanilla Spaceship Decoration is not enabled. The current companion is found by GetPlayerTeammates() then GetInFaction(CurrentCompanionFaction). All vanilla (and possibly mod added) companions match these conditions. Disabled by default.

3) bSpaceshipDecorationDoNotMoveVanillaClutterToCargo:

Vanilla decoration items aren't transferred to the Cargo/current companion's inventory upon modifying a ship.
