About this image
From the Concept art by Ron Cobb to the film 'Alien'. Director, Ridley Scott would add his own design cues after an interminal long time of bickering over the design of the 'Nostromo' . The Legacy of the concept art would range from the very cool, better than 'Nostromo' final design to the bizarrely beautiful and colorful Chris Foss designs.
The Nostromo itself is WAYYYY to big to fit into Starfield, much less a landing padd. This ship here falls just under the 80 meter maximum, although it does crowd out the ship techs. the 'Nostromo' itself, was a Lockmart CM-88B Bison M-Class star freighter. Ithink I better reduce the grandeur and just call it a 76 meter long Class C, Lockmart Donkey star Freighter. This babe doesn't currently have long range at just 17 lites per jump but she has the muscle where it counts. designed as is, she can pull 11,000kg of cargo with an option of up to 6000 more with the optional 'Plunger' Compressor Option.
Design uses three floors, not counting neck and, er. "head", which has a paltry one floor, two small habs, and not one, but TWO landing bays. so you can up the snout or up the pooper.
