So I made a new ship, a REAL glorified storagebox on thrusters ! Having big time laughs when landing this, the sight is really something xD It flies pretty ok, and best of all, its unmodded and all vanilla >> tho i did use the CTRL+G glitch thingie :)
so its difficult to explain, but ill try. say you have a cargo module with only an side attachment, and another with a side attachment AND a top attachment point ... then when you put the first module in the right spot first and then hang the second module on floor up or down from where its suppose to go, you can then point your mouse on the second module and press CTRL+G & Space, you can get that module to attach in the right spot on the top attachment only. So basically two different module use the same space >> makes for compacter builds and you can for example hide weapons in cargo modules and the like. I had one ship with 5 cargo units using the same spot (first the top attach, then left and right, then the front little one and then the big one with all points)
there is probably someone who made a video or better explanation on google, so if youre interested look it up. you dont need any mods to accomplish this, its sometimes just a bit of a workaround to get stuff attached in the right order.
