"Here at Reliant Medical, we understand the dangers of space travel, and that it might not always be possible for our customers to reach our offices after an injury. To combat this issue, we (in partnership with Stroud-Eklund) are releasing our brand new line of habs for all your medical needs. The very same habs that have until now been exclusive to our contractors.
Reliant Medical. Medical care you can rely on..."
This mod adds two brand new medical themed habs with two separate versions (Generic and Reliant Medical), as well as a Reliant Medical infirmary for all you brave and adventurous doctors wandering through space. Be it in service to the company itself, or as an independent practitioner.
To purchase the habs, all you need to do is head over to the Stroud-Eklund Shipyard, their office in Neon, or the ship service technician in Neon and you'll be set for your new journeys. The habs have been integrated into the existing Stroud-Eklund lists.
The Infirmary is 2x1 like the base infirmary, the offices are also 2x1 and the operating room is 1x1.
If enough public interest is shown, and I find the time to do it, then perhaps.
Is that a holo projector in the infirmary?
It is, yes. It's there for decoration, but also as a little hint towards certain projects I have plans for making once Bethesda (Bless Todd! Our lord and savior!) fixes some of the issues with the CK, such as the Lip Sync generation not working.
What's the difference between the Generic and Reliant Medical hab versions?
For the most part the Reliant Medical versions of the habs differ in the sense that they have branding on the walls and certain other objects. These brand logos are replaced by generic posters in the other version.
Infirmary: The Infirmary is for the most part the same as the vanilla version. The only differences being that one of the tables has been replaced with a larger custom conference table, some monitors have been added , a holo projector, and some branding. The colors of some cabinets have also been changed from a chrome to white. Oh, and there's a new cabinet next to the table, on the aft section.
Doctor's Office: The Doctor's Office includes two rooms. The first is the actual office which has a vision testing machine, some decorations, a coffee maker, the doctor's terminal and desk. As well as some floor mats for decor. The second room features an aquarium (cause holy-hell, I love those) built into the wall, a bed, a bunch of storage shelves, and a large digital lock secured storage closet for medicine and the like (It does spawn a bunch of Aid items over time, as is it's purpose). Consider it a giant medical box.
Compact Surgery and Bio Disposal Room: This tiny room includes a chair for surgery, some shelves and monitors, as well as a conveyor belt and furnace for incinerating faulty removed organs (You don't want to launch them out in space, and straight into someone's windshield, do ya?).
At first, I wanted to do a large surgery room, but figured that most ships wouldn't have a full medical staff onboard, so I went for something compact. if you place your doors on the fore/front wall, you will only have the surgery bit, and if you place it on the port/left side, you'll only have the incinerator.
In the optional files, you can also find a version of the hab pack whose infirmary functions if you're using Functioning Ship Infirmaries. Only use that version OR the base version of the hab pack to avoid any conflicts.
