Starfield uses the new format BA2(version 2, and version 3)

BA2 version 1:
 Fallout4, Fallout76, etc. *BA2 created by Archive2.exe.

BA2 version 2:
Same compression/decompression as Version 1. *used for Textures not requiring performance, non-texture datas, etc.

BA2 Version 3:
Faster decompression when texture transfering to video memory.
since the tool to create new BA2 (Ver.2 and 3) is not yet available, I have created a tool to upgrade the previous BA2 (Ver.1) to the new Ver.2 and Ver.3.
please use it as a stopgaps until Bethesda releases a new archiver or someone else creates. 🙂

BA2 Version 7,8: (* optional support)
used by Fallout 4 Next-Gen.

Possible convert:
Upgrade Ver.1 to Ver.2
Upgrade Ver.1 to Ver.3  *(texture BA2 only)
Upgrade Ver.2 to Ver.3  *(texture BA2 only)
Upgrade Ver.1 to Ver.7   *optional support for Fallout4 Next-Gen *[added] BA2 Upgrader 1.3.0
Upgrade ver.1 to Ver.8   *optional support for Fallout4 Next-Gen *[added] BA2 Upgrader 1.3.0

Downgrade Ver.3 to Ver.2 *(texture BA2 only)   *[added] BA2 Upgrader 1.1.0

How to use this tool effectively.
There are many texture mods available in Nexus, but at this time they are all BA2(Version 1) packed.
Upgrade to Version 3 that texture mod's BA2. Perfectly fits the Starfield. 🙂
 * not recommend to use lot of texture loose files. texture should be used in BA2 packs.

non-textures datas (swf, meshes, sound, etc.), upgrade to Version 2.

FAQ:
> Will this reduce video memory usage?
>     No, it neither decreases nor increases.

>Will this improve FPS?
>     Depends on the case. this would be effective in scenes where a large amount of texture loading occurs.

> Change the graphic quality?
>     No changes, It neither improves nor deteriorates.

> Does this contribute to higher overall performance?
>     Probably... I think Bethesda introduced a new version of BA2 because it's effective.
>     maybe the area change will be faster, or the stutting will be gone.

NOTE:
 * only Texture BA2(Ver.1 or Ver.2) can be upgraded to Version 3.
 * Not recommend Upgrading Starfield's stock BA2(version 2). Bethesda has good reason to choose version 2.
 * BA2 file size will be larger when upgrading to Version 3, because of the emphasis on decompression speed in tuning.
