BACKGROUND
The Slayton SAL-6830 is one of the best engines available in the game, and is quest-locked (just like the ComSpike and Conduction Grid). For the SAL-6830 you need to complete the main quest mission "All That Money Can Buy". Naeva Mora is a character in the Crimson Fleet questline with a pretty unique outfit, which is not normally obtainable by the player.
When the game first launched it was not possible to obtain the SAL-6830 without completing "All That Money Can Buy" a specific way, using the non-violent solution. This appears to have been changed at some point by Bethesda, although I have also seen comments that the SAL-6830 is still not available for some people who take the more aggressive option. It's my belief that a role-playing game shouldn't force the player to act in a way that's contrary to their character as the only route to obtaining something of particular note. There should always be an alternative route, to allow people to roleplay their characters and not force them to do something out of character.
Another problem is with New Game plus, if you choose or are forced to skip the main questline. Unlike the ComSpike and Conduction Grid, which unlock in a faction questline, the SAL-6830 is always unavailable if you don't replay the main questline, with no alternative way to obtain it.
Naeva Mora's outfit is also unobtainable. During the Crimson Fleet questline she cannot be killed, and despite there being a possible encounter with her afterwards you are still not able to actually take the outfit.
DESCRIPTION
This mod adds a short but (I think) immersive alternative way to unlock both the engine and obtain Naeva's outfit. You can still do the quest even if the engine has been unlocked normally in your current game, it will then make it available at one additional location.
Head to Slayton Aerospace and look for the pad Ryleigh, the receptionist, is shown reading in the images here to get started.
The only cell edits are in the Slayton office itself, so this should be compatible with all other mods unless they affect Slayton Aerospace.

CREDITS/ABOUT
I know this is rather short and text-heavy, but it is my first quest mod. I had some ideas for a mod related to the Red Mile and wanted to try something smaller to figure things out on first, and this is the result. I'm also heavily procrastinating as I still haven't released the usable animation markers mod which is more or less finished, it just needs a tiny bit more testing.
