We can all agree that 510deshawn has done a fantastic job porting near-future weapons into Starfield in his Project Warfare mods.



Project Warfare (PW) is balanced around Extreme difficulty for max damage, high-intensity, short time-to-kill combat.

However, I am a filthy casual, and generally play on Normal difficulty, where PW guns are 'over powered' and strongly out perform vanilla options.



What Does this Patch Do?

  • Brings weapon damage down so that Project Warfare weapons are scaled to vanilla weapons and Normal difficulty

  • Damage values have been balanced around the DPS stat, and have been designed to match 'similar' vanilla weapons

  • 'Plus' weapons variants have an approx. 10-20% buff over the regular model

  • Base value/cost has been lowered to reduce the profits from selling looted PW weapons

Note: Weapons have been balanced against equivalent vanilla weapons, with some consideration given to calibre type. Recent PW updates have made weapon drops much less common, so I have felt it appropriate to buff some weapons slightly, to make finding them worthwhile, while still balanced. Remember that with the right investment of skill points and research, all Starfield weapons are viable and can scale with level.


This is my own personal patch I am uploading and maintaining with 510deshawn's permission. Balancing is highly subjective - I'm sure that many will have opinions on damage 'x' and value 'y' - I am probably not going to be making any changes, but won't be offended if you sound-off in the comment section either.



Installation (Main file):

Make sure these lines are in your StarfieldCustom.ini in "Documents\My Games\Starfield\"

2: Download the mod via mod manager (I personally use Vortex), or manually download and extract to your Starfield directory, ensuring the folder structure is: "...\Starfield\Data"

3: Enable the ESM file with in your mod manager or the Creations menu in-game, and ensure it loads AFTER 'ProjectWarfare.esm' and 'ProjectWarfareAddonPack1.esm' (& 'PXC_AmmoHud_Patch_PWHE.esm' and 'PXC_AmmoHud_Patch_PWHE-AP1.esm' if using the Ammo HUD mod)
