This mod extends the way Shattered Space handles food items into the rest of the game. This makes food items useful at all levels, while allowing them to remain in their gameplay niche of granting instant health via a paused game menu.

Changelogs
Version 1.0
Modified all vanilla food and beverage items
Modified a couple Shattered Spaced food items that weren't using the new system
The problem with most food overhauls on the Nexus is that they make food either too similar in functionality to med kits with inferior stats, or a passive health regeneration bonus that discourages you from feasting on as much food as possible. With the release of Shattered Space, I was pleasantly surprised to find that Bethesda had implemented a solution to this problem for the new food items: "Restore x% health". This circumnavigates the health inflation from leveling problem. And yet, in their foolishness, they didn't extend this new attribute to the rest of the food items in the base game. Well, now being a chef is a viable playstyle!
The following list will tell you how I converted each type of food and drink item:
Restores 2 health - Restores 1% health no matter what
Restores 3 health - 1% health restored, 2% with game rule enabled
Restores 4 health - 2% health restored, 3% with game rule enabled
Restores 5 health - 2% health restored, 4% with game rule enabled
Restores 10 health - 3% health restored, 6% with game rule enabled
Restores 15 health - 4% health restored, 8% with game rule enabled
Restores 20 health - 5% health restored, 10% with game rule enabled
Restores 25 health - 6% health restored, 12% with game rule enabled
The aforementioned game rule is the vanilla modifier in your Settings that grants increased health regeneration from consuming food items. At the cost of -2% XP, you would see the values on the right instead of the ones on the left, which is a fair tradeoff for a food-focused playthrough.
I also recommend installing Skill Fixes, which makes the Nutrition perk's effectiveness bonuses be doubled. So, for example, an item that previously restored 25 health will instead restore 24% of your total health with the game rule enabled and the max rank of Nutrition.
Obviously, this mod requires Shattered Space to be installed.
