Extends the skills menu with 4 new skill tabs! Rifles, Pistols, Shotguns and Heavy Guns. The goal of this mod is to enhance the roleplay aspect by providing extensive skills to each weapon type. Over 50 new skills!

This mod is a WIP, and I am open to suggestions for EM weapon expert/master skills and changes to existing skills I made.

Basic Skills:

All basic skills do the following:
Rank 1: Aiming stability and accuracy is slightly increased.
Rank 2: Aiming stability and accuracy with ballistic pistols is moderately increased.
Rank 3: Aiming stability and accuracy with ballistic pistols is greatly increased.
Rank 4: Aiming stability and accuracy with ballistic pistols is significantly increased.


Advanced Skills:

Expert Ballistic Rifle Training

Rank 1: Reloading a ballistic rifle has a 25% chance to double the magazine capacity
Rank 2: Killing an enemy with a ballistic rifle increases your weapon range by 50% for 10 seconds.
Rank 3: Hitting an enemy with a ballistic rifle has a 5% chance to increase your fire rate by 25% for 5 seconds.
Rank 4: Doubles previous bonuses.

Expert Laser Rifle Training

Rank 1: Hits with laser rifles have a 10% chance to demoralize targets hit.
Rank 2: Reloading a laser rifle has a 25% chance to overcharge your weapon, increasing damage by 25% for 5 seconds.
Rank 3: Killing an enemy with a laser rifle increases reload speed by 25% for 5 seconds.
Rank 4: Doubles previous bonuses.

Expert Particle Beam Rifle Training

Rank 1: Killing an enemy with a particle beam rifles increases critical hit chance by 15%.
Rank 2: Hitting an enemy with a particle beam rifle has a 10% chance to irradiate them.
Rank 3: Reloading particle beam rifles has a 25% chance to increase it's fire rate by 25% for 10 seconds.
Rank 4: Doubles previous bonuses.

Master Ballistic Rifle Training

Rank 1:
 Killing enemies with a ballistic rifle increases damage done by 5% for 10 seconds. Stacks up to 4 times.
Rank 2: Killing enemies with a ballistic rifle increases damage done by 10% for 10 seconds. Stacks up to 4 times.
Rank 3: Killing enemies with a ballistic rifle increases damage done by 20% for 10 seconds. Stacks up to 4 times.
Rank 4: Hitting an enemy with a ballistic rifle has a 10% chance to deal double damage.

Master Laser Rifle Training

Rank 1: Laser rifles have a 5% chance to set a target on fire.
Rank 2: Laser rifles have a 10% chance to set a target on fire.
Rank 3: Laser rifles have a 15% chance to set a target on fire, which deals 100% more damage.
Rank 4: Killing enemies that are burning with a laser rifle has a 20% chance to cause them to explode and set nearby targets on fire.

Master Particle Rifle Training

Rank 1: Hits have a 5% chance to inflict enemies with the annihilator disease
Rank 2: Hits have a 10% chance to inflict enemies with the annihilator disease
Rank 3: Hits have a 15% chance to inflict enemies with the annihilator disease
Rank 4: Inflicting an enemy with the annihilator disease will spread it to nearby enemies.

Master Ballistic Shotgun Training

Rank 4: Doubles previous bonuses.

Expert Laser Heavy Gun Training

Rank 1: Reloading heavy guns while empty is 50% faster.
Rank 2: You take 25% less damage when enemies are near you while a laser heavy gun is equipped.
Rank 3: While you have a laser heavy gun equipped, there is a 2.5% chance to resist damage.

Rank 3: For every second while standing still with a ballistic heavy gun, your damage resistance is increased by 3%, up to 15%.
Rank 4: For every second while standing still with a ballistic heavy gun, your damage resistance is increased by 4%, up to 20%.

Rank 1: Laser heavy guns have a 5% chance to set a target on fire.

Vanilla Skill Changes:

The combat skills have been slightly re-organized.
Rifle, and heavy weapon certification are now basic skills.
Lasers, and ballistics are now advanced skills.
Lasers, Particle Beams, Ballistics, Rifle, Pistol, Heavy Weapon, and Shotgun certification skills now give +50% damage at rank 4.

COMPATIBILITY:

  • Anything that modifies the vanilla skills this mod changes will either require a compatibility patch or be loaded before or after my mod. Depending on if you want my changes or another mods. However Lasers rank 4 no longer gives laser weapons the chance to set targets on fire because that is in the skills I made.
  • Anything that modifies the SkillsMenu.swf, SkillsMenu_lrg.swf and translate_en.txt requires a patch.



KNOWN ISSUES:

  • For some reason you have to click 5 times to open a skill in the Rifles, Pistols and Shotguns tree. A temporary fix is to use the large text option in the accessibilty options menu.


FUTURE PLANS:
  • Skill descriptions for skills missing one
  • Custom skill patches(I have made a few but when testing the skill menu turns blank)
  • EM weapon expert/master skills
  • Turn the new skill tabs into sub skill tabs that become available when the Combat skill tab is selected.
