I used to get that with the game as a whole, I turned off ‘save on travel’ in the settings and that sorted it for me. I think I have all the autosaves turned off but I have a character I don’t want to put through to new game plus and I find the longer a character has been in a universe and the more things collected and quests done the more likely there’s a CTD when the game tries to autosave. The cave itself is also quite asset heavy with enemies, lights and sound effects so I would definitely recommend turning off autosaves to see if that helps, I hope that’s helpful

First off - AMAZING MOD!  THANK YOU!  I could truly feel your love for the game!

I did find two bugs with the version I downloaded today from within the Creations section for the PC -

    1) SSNN -
When I picked up the message from the desk at SSNN, it did not check the box for completion of message intercept.

    2) I did this right after finding and recruiting Heller during the "Back to Vectera" quest.
    Inside the Research Facility -
If you do things out of order, things break. =/
I was able to resolve all of the issues but one by backtracking to the very beginning and "running through it again."  The one I couldn't get past was - if you pick all the Lazarus roots before you get to the step that tells you to pick the roots, you are stuck and cannot move on.
Suggestion: Do a check within the inventory to see if there are enough roots already in there?

This was a LOT of fun!  But, unfortunately, I had to leave the quest there ( -_-)
Please let me know if there's an easy fix or if there's a way to forcibly tick those boxes.  Otherwise, I'm definitely coming back to this later if it ever gets patched!

Hi, sorry this happened to you, I haven’t been able to recreate the SSNN objective not completing issue but you are not alone, 1 or 2 others have had the same issue but if there’s something I can do my end I’m planning to sort that in a future update. I will also include your suggestion for the inventory count but the quickest way to get back into the quest at the moment would be to use console commands on PC, here’s a link to some console commands that should help and allow you to jump forward to the next stage, hopefully this should get you sorted in the short term rather than waiting for my next update, here’s the link: https://www.reddit.com/r/Starfield/comments/169ix68/how_to_skip_bugged_quest_stages/

      Thank you so much!
      You're awesome! =]

RE: SSNN bug - I don't know if it helps, but that was the first time I entered that building (I started a clean playthrough). So, while the actual quest popped up immediately, I spent a bit of time listening to the character dialogs (like that fangirl scene).  Maybe that delay or the first-first time entry was the cause?

Thank you for the extra info, it’s super helpful, I make a note of all reported bugs/issues and look for patterns in experience if nothing obvious comes to mind knowing all the circumstances going on at the time really helps, so really appreciate you sharing,
      many thanks again

I also had the "picked up the slate then nothing" issue.  I also picked up the slate on a brand new play through.

Maybe the dependencies to have done the vanguard questline aren't as gone as you thought? Just a guess.  When I checked my quest stages, 10 and 20 were set, but 0 was still unset.

Could be, although the conditions originally set are still showing my end as removed, there could well be a gremlin in there that’s making it a dependency 👍

Hi yes I have this same bug where when I pick up the slate at SSNN nothing else happens, I'm also on a new playthrough and it was my first time in SSNN.

Thank you for reaching out, I’m really sorry you are experiencing this, I am still trying to find a cause but let me know if the problem goes away once you’ve completed the Vanguard questline on your new character and things start behaving as they should, many apologies again

None of this nonsense will help me or xbox users. We can't console our way out of buggy quests.

Back two months later with an update.

Originally, I had the "picked up the slate and nothing happened" problem.  To be more specific stage 20 showed as set in the console, but despite this, the objective to intercept the message never completed in my quest log, and the objective to go to the coordinates never appeared in my quest log.

I tried the mod again, but this time after finishing the Vanguard quest line.  With the Vanguard quest line complete, everything worked just right.  I picked up the slate, and intercept stage completed, and go to coordinates stage showed up in my quest log.

Thank you so much for coming back to let me know that completing the vanguard questline helped. There definitely seems to be a gremlin in there from when completing the quest was a pre-requisite condition. I have double checked everything and cannot find any trace of that old condition but there is definitely a ghost in the works there somewhere. I’m really glad it worked for you after completing the vanguard quest, thank you again for letting me know 👍

Hi, I'm having issues getting this quest to start, similairly to others earlier in the thread. The mod is installed, and seemingly loaded as I get items I can correlate to images you've uploaded when I type "help lazarus" in the console. And the quest itself, which ofc will not start from player.startquest giving the same "check warnings file" message.

I'm in the SSNN building and no quest pops up and theres no slate. I saw someone talking about null errors on Eridani IV, and I had "Eridani IV - The Most Deadly World" installed so I uninstalled it incase there were some compatability issues, but it didn't change anything. Neither did altering the load order.

TLDR; what is the name of the slate thats supposed to spawn on the counter in the SSNN building? Maybe I can add it through the console and start the quest that way.

Hi, sorry this has happened to you, the slate is called (in the name field) Potential Story, but the editor ID will be different but I will go into Creation Kit later and see what it’s editor ID is as that will be different.

Hi the editor id for the slate is 001ST_Data_slate_NEW_STARTING_SLATE
I hope that helps, although I removed the pre-condition of completing the Vanguard Quest first a couple of people said that completing that first had made the slate appear and/or work when there was issues, as if a ghost of that original pre-condition was preventing the quest starting so if you haven’t done the Vanguard quest on the character you’re using that might also be worth a try in case it helps at all. Again many apologies you’ve had issues with the mod

Hi again, and thanks for the work you're doing in answering my issues! Always greatly appreciated seeing modders taking stuff like this seriously even though I have no idea how one guy manages an entire community worth of customer service essentially lol. I will try to reload my save pre-unity soon (when the nintendo direct is over hehe) and see if that helps.

Also I found the slate using the name, it didn't work unfortunatley. But what do I do with the editor ID? It doesn't give any results using the help or additem commands.

I really want to make this mod work, the concept and feedback I'm seeing from people who have completed it makes me think it's right up my alley. And please don't take it personally, I have 100 mods in a famously buggy engine, someone's gonna have problems no matter how many times you bugcheck the lines lol!

EDIT: After loading my pre-unity save where I had completed the UC questline, the quest started as I entered the SSNN building, and the slate was there on the counter. I'm considering the issue as solved with that! From what I gather about the lore surrounding your quest it might make more sense to do after completing the terrormorph storyline anyway. Thanks for your time and efforts to the Starfield community!

Impressive! Especially the interior cells are really beautifully done. The storytelling is captivating, and the mod is well balanced, neither too difficult nor a piece of cake. Thanks a lot for your efforts.

Hi there, you just need to download the 1 file that’s labelled Lazarus Awakened v2.0, v2.0 is the latest version and contains fixes, the old files are just there for people who have saves that the early version was used for. Definitely download the v2.0, hope you enjoy

I think it would be beneficial for all if you could provide your explanation to the file descriptions; making it clear that v2.0 is the latest/greatest version. Although it say "v2.0", with there being a handful of Main Files, I think clarity would be helpful. Downloaded and looking forward to playing it!

No problem, I can’t certainly do that if it helps, I will take a look later and see if it’s possible to amend, if not I will just make sure it’s obvious which is the current version moving forward, thank you for reaching out 👍

Edit: Files have now been amended to show that v2.0 is the latest version in its file description 👍

Same bug. I used console commands to skip to the next game stage, but it wouldn't update the quest marker from picking up and reading the slate. Then I tried to use commands to reset the quest, but that just broke it entirely - cannot start it or continue what I had, or even use the set stage command but it wouldn't update it from 0. I think the bug happened because I had picked up and read the slate before the quest objective updated to it, a similar bug happened with another vanilla quest needing a slate, although I was able to fix that one.
