Creation kit update allows ini tweaks
    [Spaceship]

Why is this important? I can now build Capital ships that can be boarded. May take some time.

This will come with a few more requirements: Place Doors Yourself

Really love this mod, it's such a simple change but it adds a ton of immersion. I do have one suggestion though -

Not sure if this is intended or not, but I noticed that at Akila, UC capital ships will spawn in, while at Jemison there are Freestar capitol ships. If it is intended I think I see what you're going for, like they're visiting from UC/Freestar worlds? But personally I would like it the other way around, the faction capital ships should patrol their own worlds.

Sorry, not sure if it's a bug or not. Thanks!

Cargo ships would make sense, but not warships. Warships should be limited to their own space, or unaligned space. That's something that should really be addressed. The UC and Freestar may have signed an armistice, but they're not exactly friendly. A warship in the territory of the opposing faction would at best be a serious transgression, and at worst considered an act of war.

Idea is UC has 3 Capital warships which do patrol but only within UC controlled space between a couple of SOL and Alpha Centauri planets.
Freestar collective has I believe one within FC space only.

When a ship with alternate marks such a FC ship enters UC space its strictly conducting a trade of goods and cargo these are 3rd party companies doing so not a military faction sponsor and vice versa no Freestar military ships within the UC space. The marking from my view should be seen as simple a flag of origin, or my ship is from x or y. I believe this should fit within the lore.. right :p?

Yes, cargo ships make sense. I have encountered FC warships in UC space though, and been attacked by them since I have a FC bounty. Then when I defend myself, the UC warships all join in attacking me (even though I have no bounty with the UC).

Somehow, this mod was causing Neon city to get lag spikes. FPS would be completely normal and then massive dip for half a second, like a game pause and it happens so quick and happens every few seconds.
Disabling the .ESM didn't stop it but deleting the scripts and .ESM fixed it...

    Why is this?

Same issue here, Legacy version. I use the Game Pass version so can't install the Engine Fixes but that shouldn't be necessary to begin with.

A mod for ship traffic shouldn't be causing stutters in a completely unrelated city area. Seems there's some scripts running rampant that shouldn't be. This mod singlehandedly increases my load times by a ton too, by more than a minute at times.
Was surprised to see stuff load instantly again after removing it.

Shame, as this mod seems cool to have but for now it's gonna stay uninstalled. Will track progress though.

Because the script gives the function it just adds two custom lists for spawning the Class M's. Deleting the script would make the mod do noting..no custom spawns would revert to vanilla.

Ya, sadly The Engine Fixes is kinda *needed* for adding ships, otherwise micro shutters will occur other ship mods experience the same issue.

I love the mod, but sadly, I am having CTD issues with the newer versions. I have both of the required mods M class and recolor plus PYD. I am running with a bunch of other mods, so I wonder if, somewhere along the list, another mod is causing the crashes. But I wonder if you could make the older archive files available to download, too, because I wanted to test the older versions to see if that fixes my issue. I have had luck with other mods by using older versions.

Camulus is a vanilla game M class. Only one vanilla game M class can be boarded, and it's UC Vigilance and not Camulus.

I'm not 100% sure about Place Doors Yourself. After I installed that mod for the new version of yours, my Galileo ship interior rearranged itself. Now...it's not modified in anyway - it's vaniila. But a store room appeared where the exit previously existed along with nice airy gaps for the crew to get sucked out into space.  And the ladder to the crew hab vanished, and whoever was down there was never seen again.
Removing PDY restores the ship. Apart from the crew hab. (They're doomed.)
    Has anyone else experience this?

Yup, I built the JJ U.S.S. Enterprise by Michael Oliver, and then installed this mod and PYD. That completely trashed the interior as far as ladders and doorways. Since I spend considerable time editing the habs after building the ship, I was not about to rebuild the whole thing. There's the option of the legacy download, but you then can't board any captured ships. I didn't try any vanilla ships to see if it affected them. I wanted the option to board the class M ships. To get around the problem, I used an empty esm, https://www.nexusmods.com/starfield/mods/5584, and re-named it PlaceDoorsYourself.esm. That fools the Interstellar Traffic mod into thinking the required esm is installed. I can now board and loot the captured ships and their occupants. There are two issues however. You can't interact with the doors, ladders or pilots seats of the captured ships. For doors, I just use the disable command. For ladders, just use the boost pack. Since I can't properly interact with the pilot seat, I can't add them to my fleet. That's not a huge deal for me.

You don't need to rebuild the ship. PDY just removed the doors and ladders, but everything else is the same inside your ship. All you have to do is go to a shipbuilder and insert doors and ladders between the habs where you want them.

Seems a little tedious at first, but it's not that bad and allows you to place doors and windows yourself instead of letting the game decide where to put them, even in configurations that the vanilla game wouldn't allow, such as having 6 doors on a 2x1 hab.

    Hi,

I got married to both Andreja and Sarah. Done Shattered Space. Level 210.

Time to try my 1st Unity.

Sadly, in NG+1, the 20 vs 1 ship battle is NOT THERE ANYMORE. Wait for 10 minutes in Mars & Deimos Staryard, nothing happen. Any idea what is happening?

So, for now I made a U turn from Unity... back to my favourate class M ship battle, my 2 lovely wifes and a friendly Va'ruun Kavnyk.

I get the starborn suits from console command... to release my pain.. happy gaming. hehe :)

    Hi.
I’ve been using your mod, and it fits perfectly with my collection—great work! However, I’ve encountered an issue in Cydonia when installing Legacy and its requirements. The game experiences stuttering every 2–3 seconds, specifically in that area.It seems like the engine might be loading something in a loop, though I haven’t investigated deeply. The mod is excellent, and I’d love to see this fixed so I can continue enjoying it without issues. Thanks for your time and effort!Best regards,

The fix for the stuttering issue is to install Starfield Engine Fixes-SFSE: https://www.nexusmods.com/starfield/mods/10457 , and set bEngineLoadOptimizers=1.

That fix is already included but has broader implications, such as improper rendering of objects and other related issues. Nevertheless, thank you for the suggestion—it’s appreciated!

Well, this mod doesn't work for me anymore, now I get CTD every time I try to load my save.
This version was already working in my game, but I disabled it for a while because it slowed down the initial loading of the game. After a few more mods (30, 40, whatever) now it's just a non-starter. I check my mod list and I can't find any that affect star traffic, only some that add POIs but not on the planets that affect this mod.
Could it just be that my PC is saying "enough is enough"? I have very heavy mods, 4k textures, facegen for all NPCs, outposts with recruitment system, etc, etc all running with everything set to ultra. Not bad for an i5 gen9 with 24gb ram and 4060Ti 16gb graphics, but I think this mod is just the straw that broke the camel's back.

      Hi,
Sad to hear that you got a CTD. It also happen to me last time.
If you really want the Interstellar Traffic and your save back?.

For me, I uninstalled all other mods that incur POI. Even at different places. (Complete uninstalled, not just disabled)

I got back my saves. But, one of the moon in Serpentis is a permanent CTD for me. That is a risk of trying a new mods. Next time, always backup saves before trying new mods. That is a lesson for me.

Give it a try. Good luck. Tq

There's no way I can go back in my savegame, not in this playthrough. I've gone crazy building outposts, ships, colonized settlements... I've even expanded New Atlantis by building next to the city, and I'm doing the same with Akila. I can only go forward to the next NG+.

Following your advice, I've tried uninstalling all the POI mods, but nothing has changed. Those mods are pretty light, and I still suspect this mod causes CTD because the load is so heavy. I can almost hear my PC crying and creaking trying to load the game.
I have too many mods working fine, almost no bugs or glitches, no more unstable than the base game itself. So I'm not going to mess around too much for a single mod that causes CTD.
It's not a big deal either, I'm building my own M-class fleet. I already enjoyed attacking those massive ships while the mod was working for me. I'll try again when I go through Unity once more..

I dealt with this exact same thing, and I was so worried I had nuked my save game and lost everything. I couldn't even load into a new game without it crashing. The ONLY way I was able to salvage my game was this.

      1. Go into Vortex, Ctrl+A to select all mods and disable them, not uninstall.
      2. Back up the save games you have in a separate folder on your desktop just to be safe.
      3. Completely uninstall the game and then reinstall it making sure it's up to date.
      4. Load up the game and see if you are able to start and load a new game, if it gets to the Starfield logo in the intro, good sign.
      5. Slowly reenable the mods you have two or 3 at at time (Make sure to update the ones you need to like the Script Extender in my case). Categorize the mods as you enable them. Example: mods that change UI, graphics, gameplay, weapons and armor, Outpost crafting, Ship Building. Each time you install a group of mods, open the game and again, start a new game and see if you get to that Starfield logo intro.

You can easily find the mod causing the big problem doing all of this. And I discovered it was this mod through the method described above. I'm not saying it's entirely because this mod as if its a huge problem or broken, it is likely due to the combination of mods I use, as many people use this mod and have no problem with it. I unfortunately cannot use this mod as much as I would love to. Better to play it safe.

      Hope this helps!

Man, your problem is much bigger than mine. My savegame is fine, it's just
that if I install this mod the game crashes on the first load.
I actually don't know how you did it to break it so much. I've installed, played, uninstalled, played again, reinstalled, and so on several times without corrupting my savegame.
I had that kind of problems in the past when installing manually (I see that is not your case), but since I use vortex  I haven't lost a savegame yet with more than 360 mods installed, and many more tested and discarded.

So if you just uninstall this mod but leave your other POI mods active, your save games load?

Yes, my savegame loads perfectly with all my mods active. This mod can't break anything in my savegame because it won't start, my savegame won't load and I can't overwrite it with this mod active.
That being said, I've had it installed in previous versions, uninstalled it mid-game. Everything still worked. I reinstalled the current version, played with it. Uninstalled it again mid-game because it was slowing down loading at startup. Everything still worked. And all this time with the POI mods working.
It only stopped working for me when I installed it again after installing about 50 other mods (I can't tell you which ones, I've lost count, but none related to POIs or star traffic)

I've also run into the problem of the slow initial startup as well. It hasn't caused any CTD yet, but I'm only running 43 plugins. After nearly a year on my old save, I finally started a new NG+ about a month ago with the bare minimum of mods. One thing that is highly recommended against, is uninstalling mods mid play through, especially mods with scripts. Eventually, your saves hold data from all those mods that you've previously installed. It sounds like you've installed, then uninstalled this mod once, maybe twice now. That, combined with your 50 mods that you've installed between installations has caused your saves to CTD when the game tried to load this mod. If you keep getting CTD problems,  even with this mod removed, there's a mod that will generate a log of what's causing the issue: https://www.nexusmods.com/starfield/mods/5068 The log generated is long and detailed. Some mod authors request copies of the log when trying to troubleshoot reports that their mod is causing CTD"S.

Well, yes, I am aware of the abuse I do to my saved game. Also, I am on NG+7 level 335, and in every walkthrough I have done similar dirty things to it.
Obviously, with this, and my long list of mods, I can't blame any mod for not working. But my game works well, it's stable, and all those errors are usually fixed when going through Unity. So I will try to reinstall the mod when I move to NG+8 (this one and some others that almost work but don't).
If it works I will let you know here, but it won't be soon.
Thanks for the link, I will try it.

This mod is great, please don't give up on it. I had the stuttering issue so had to disable it for now.
