0x7C00's Invisible Body Patch for KZ Aggregation of Scraps

KZ made outstanding work introducing multiple great new outfits to the game; however, all in one package suffers from a quite annoying bug. A significant number of clothes are meant for females, and when used on male characters, the body becomes invisible. This is because those outfits are simply not defining models for male characters at all. I have made a workaround for that problem by adding a dummy male outfit to all female ones, so in the inventory you see this dummy outfit instead of a head floating in the air. Additionally, all female outfits are now marked with an "(F)" prefix, so it is now clear which one is which.

  • All female outfits now have "(F)" suffix in the name.
  • All female outfits now have a dummy male version which is visible in inventory interface and in the world.
  • Some masks are now wearable by male characters.


Installation

Please download the latest 1.1 version of the parch which fixes some bugs in previous releases!

  • Install KZ Aggregation of Scraps if you haven't already.
  • Install KZ AIO Patch using Mod Manager or put the file manually in the Starfield Data folder.
  • Make sure Patch is loaded AFTER the KZ AIO:



FAQ

If you have any questions, please read below FAQ first, since most of them may been already answered:

  • Is this a standalone mod?
    No, this is just a patch fixing quite annoying bug (at last for me) in KZ Aggregation of Scraps mod, so you need to install it first and then the patch.

  • It is not working, I still see invisible male body in the character inventory...
    First make sure patch is installed, you should be able to find KZ_AIO_Patch.esm file in your Starfield Data folder. If this is checked, make sure your load order is correct as per installation instructions - patch is supposed to be after KZ_AIO.esm, otherwise it won't work.

  • Why is my character dressed in the nightwear instead of... (put anything there)?
    Because of the way Starfield engine works. In short some of the clothing slots which KZ mod is using are hiding the character body parts with visible skin like arms. Once it is hidden for Female character it cannot be visible for male at the same time (engine limitation). To overcome that, male character is dressed in a way these body parts are hidden hence it wears the gloves for example. I wanted to pick something which is like underwear, but with skin covered so the nightwear fits quite well. Note that for some outfits male gloves are hidden since the female version simply does not hide hands of the character, so in those specific cases hands would clip with gloves... If you are still interested in even more details: Yes, is it possible to add for example naked hands model only for male character in a separate slot, however it's skin tone will not match your character skin tone... again, engine limitations. This is the best workaround I was able to find.

  • Female helmets are still invisible on male characters...
    Yes, for helmets I actually felt this is right, like when you try to put female helmet it will just not fit no need for any replacement model in my opinion.
