About this mod

Declutter your star map by hiding systems that don't appear in quests, don't contain collectibles and just waste precious pixels.

Permissions and credits
Why have you done this?

Only 49 out of 78 of the star systems in Starfield are locations for quests, named crew members or unique weapons, resources or collectibles (e.g. magazines).

More than 1/3 of the systems are just procedurally generated slop with no redeeming features. But still they sit there on your star map, mocking you.

Banish the 29 dud systems to the Shadow Realm with this handy plugin, created using the Starfield Creation Kit.

If you'd like to do your own Galactus roleplay, you can use the SCK's Galaxy View, right click on a System, Edit Properties, click The Eye, and remove the check marks next to "On Local Map" and "Playable". [This stops radiant quests being assigned to those systems]. Then, update the ParsecLocation X Y and Z positions of the planet to 999 so they're thrown far into the void. [This puts the systems beyond the bounds of your map].

Compatibility

Honestly I've got no idea. I got so excited when I figured out how to do this that I just slapped it together, tested it a couple of times and chucked it on Nexus at the first opportunity. ModOrganizer says it's only overwriting the base Starfield ESM.

I can at least say that on my computer it is compatible with Shattered Space.

Anyone who wants to beta-test this mod is welcome to!

FAQs

"But the lore! THE LORE!"
House Va'ruun were right and the Great Serpent came along and shrouded 37.2% of the galaxy in darkness.

"But what about the Temples?"
Don't even trip, Dog. At least 24 systems (that's one for each Starborn Power) containing planets capable of manifesting the Gravitational Anomaly are already in my curated selection.

"I actually like procedurally generated slop! Oink oink oink!" You control the buttons you press.
