About this mod

Now with color accuracy!
A color accurate baseline for future reshades that introduces dynamic lighting and color accurate exposure. Performance lite and all variables are tightened enough and few to incorporate other shader filters with ease.

Do you ever play Starfield and think
"Hot damn this game is ugly but I have no idea how to fix it." - You, probably.

Well, pretty sure everyone does.

You can run through a forest and all the trees stay the same tone of desaturated space vomit green, regardless of where the lights are.

But not anymore! If you have Reshade just plop this lil game fixing file into your lighting doohickey and watch as a light... emits light! And the sun! Yes, the sun is bright!

Galaxy's Light is a full lighting pass and overhaul that was created with care to the original art style while implementing full dynamic lighting, vanilla color accurate exposure and clean lighting transitions. Yes! All the lighting with none of the vibrance! All the tones with none of the saturation! Just as Starfield was meant to be played, this reshade doesn't get rid of the ugly haze, no, it takes that haze and breaks it up and smooshes it all over the light sources and gives you tonally consistent and accurate lighting!

Feature list:

  • Color graded and tonally accurate dynamic lighting across every lighting condition (As far as I can tell, there is zero visibility loss when compared to the original regardless of what you are looking at, but I could have missed a very small case where you're standing in dark fire made out of really cold light, or something.)

  • Easily modified parameters, all shaders used have been dialed in to be extremely intuitive to modify. Little to no conflictions! Useful if you want a base shader for your reshade.

  • Shaders used were carefully chosen to be as performant as possible while still having enough parameters to create a dynamic lighting system that is probably easier on your GPU than most shaders focused on delivering dynamic and realistic lighting conditions.

  • Pretend you have a better graphics card now that there isn't a disconnect between how the game looks and how the game runs! Still looks incredible at low resolutions and with any settings.

  • Turns your imaginary flashlight into a real flashlight! Nights and caves are dark. Very dark. This is intentional. You are on a alien planet at night with a sun that only shows up once every 5 poops. Embrace the darkness, experiment with flashlight mods to create your own nights.

This is my first Reshade, not sure if it's good, however I no longer can play the game without it as, well, its quite literally what I imagined the game would look like when playing it.
