About this mod

This small mod allows you to spawn enemy NPCs with a hotkey as well as toggle Combat AI so you can test weapons and do other things.

Permissions and credits
This mod allows you to spawn enemies by pressing a hotkey as well as enabling or disabling combat AI if you need to, this will allow you to test your weapons and other skills. I personally use it to fill up a "killbox"  I built and place enemies around it to do a sort of test run with the weapon i'm testing sometimes trying with both combat AI On and Off.

Also: I know this might be very archaic and there might be better ways to do this but i'm a complete noob when it comes to modding so feel free to give me any constructive criticism. Also, as of now I have no Idea how to implement this to CCR, i'm sorry in advance, i'm still learning.

Thanks to GERALTPADLA, who figured out how to use StarfieldHotkeys.ini for console command hotkeys and I learned what I could from it.

  • (SUGGESTION) Make a save before spawning the NPCs. Mainly because if you're going to spawn a bunch of NPCs to kill, you're gonna have a bunch of dead bodies lying all over with loot you otherwise wouldn't have got. So It might feel like cheating and kill your immersion or something.. Instead you can reload your save before you spawned anything and you can continue your roleplaying after you're done testing. That's up to you. You can also make another save right after you spawned all the NPCs in the locations you wish in order to make multiple test runs with different weapons or anything else you wish to do.

How to use

- First you're gonna want to toggle combat AI so that you can spawn enemies wherever you plase and test or do whatever you wish without being attacked.
Press "Alt+L" to toggle combat AI

(REMEMBER TO TOGGLE COMBAT AI BACK ON WHEN YOU DECIDE TO KEEP PLAYING NORMALLY, this command carries through save games so if you reload an older save with combat toggled off, it will stay that way. Simply use "Alt+L" again to toggle it back on. If you don't know if it's On or Off, you can quickly open the console to check, I apologize for not being able to implement a display message for wether it's on or off, i'm a noob at modding)

-Walk to the spot you want enemies to spawn (they will spawn around you)
Press "Alt+P" to spawn an enemy.

Installation

1) Copy these lines in your StarfieldCustom.ini
[Menu]
bUseConsoleHotkeys=1
sConsoleINI=StarfieldHotkeys.ini*
Corrected due to formatting issues with nexus and certain commands, see new steps below.

1) Copy the lines provided in the download from the file StarfieldCustom.ini  and paste them to your own. You can paste them at the very bottom if you want ( DO NOT replace your file with this one, just add the lines.)

2) Copy StarfieldHotkeys.ini to your Documents/MyGames/Starfield Folder (same foldier as StarfieldCustom.ini).

(If you already have StarfieldHokeys.ini in your foldier from another mod simply paste the lines provided by the download in it's respective category)
[Macros]
spawnEnemy=player.placeatme 00270281; cgf "Debug.Notification" "Enemy Spawned"
toggleCombatAI=tcai; cgf "Debug.Notification" "All Combat AI Toggled"

[Hotkeys]
Alt-P=spawnEnemy
Alt-L=toggleCombatAI

Spawned enemies:

The command will spawn an Eclipcic Mercenary. I used a mid level enemy because I felt he was tough enough to test weapons and not get instakilled for someone on a medium level.

Change which enemy spawns
If you wish to change the enemy that spawns, you can simply do it by going into your StarfieldHotkeys.ini and just replacing the number on the line "spawnEnemy=player.placeatme 00270281; cgf "Debug.Notification" "Enemy Spawned". I will provide a list of different types of enemies.
