Craftable Weapon Skins

Despite most weapons having slots for skins, and a number of weapons having skins as well, there's no way to customize the appearance yourself, leaving an awkward slot in the crafting menu that's either completely unused, or blocked by a skin you can't change.

But with this mod, all of the weapon skins are now available for crafting! This means you can finally decide whether you want your Kraken and Maelstrom to be clean, and you can finally put the nice looking unique skins on the better legendaries you've found. Most of the skins are associated with unique weapons, but there's a few that aren't, and there's also a couple that were previously unobtainable.

Within the Gameplay Options menu, there's an option to allow you to disable the quest requirements for skins, an option to enable the crafting of No Decals Skins, and an option to enable the crafting of Partial Skins, and an option to enable the originally intended backfire effect for the Ember/Fiery Skin, with the choice of whether additional skins with or without the backfire effect are also available.

There are a couple of optional files in the installer as follows:
  • No Maelstrom Decals Normals Change - Removes the change to the normals for the decals for the Maelstrom, if you have a mod that uses different normals for the clean and dirty verisons
  • Unique Names - Alters the names of the skins to use the one associated with their unique weapon, rather than a more generic name
The (non-spoiler) skins that are now available are as follows:
Spoiler:
Show
  • Cutter
    • Worn Skin (previously NPC only)
  • Kraken and Maelstrom
    • Maelstrom - Clean Skin

The following are the more spoilery skins, along with their generic names (if it has one) and the requirement to unlock them:
