How to use
When first loading a save with this mod, a remote control "weapon" will be added to the player's inventory. Just like any other weapon, it can be set as a favorite or bound to a hotkey.
When equipped, the remote control will automatically perform a location-appropriate action on the player's home ship, then unequip itself:
- If ship is landed: Take off
- Works when used inside or outside the ship.
- Allows watching through the cockpit or windows as the ship takes off.
- If ship is in orbit and player is on the ground: Land
- If used within 200m of a (medium or large) landing pad or landing area, the ship will land there.
- Otherwise, the ship will check the player's position to see if there is a 60m x 60m relatively flat and level area for it to land on. Tolerance for flatness is 2 meters.
- An activity quest will point out where the ship will land.
- Larger ships may still clip into terrain or objects after landing.
- If ship is in orbit and player is on board: Toggle gravity
- Enables or disables gravity of ship interior.
- It takes about one second to shut down or restart the Grav Drive.
- The ship will make a clanging sound when its internal gravity changes.
- The ship cannot be piloted while gravity is off.
