About this mod
Enemies too spongy? Takes an eternity to kill them? Yourself too spongy? You dont feel them bullets? No worries, call the Spongecop!
He polices the hp gain per level of player and/or enemy - the higher the level, the greater the effect. Flatten that curve of high level sponginess.
- Permissions and credits
Spongecop fines offenders in 8 alternative versions (Vanilla has 20 HP each level for friend and foe, as of 1.11.36):
- Enemy 15 (only 75% of hp on each level)
- Enemy 10 (only 50% of hp on each level)
- Enemy 5 (only 25% of hp on each level)
- Enemy 3 (only 15% of hp on each level)
- Player 15 (only 75% of hp on each level)
- Player 10 (only 50% of hp on each level)
- Player 5 (only 25% of hp on each level)
- Player 3 (only 15% of hp on each level)
This is on top of the difificulty settings for damage taken and received in the ingame options menu. Compatible with my Minimum Enemy Level and Minimum System Level mods.
For enemies you can use this midgame (should only affect enemies that are not currently loaded though). For the player, I think on next level up it should retroacitvely apply (yet to be tested).
Installation
- With Starfield's June 2024 update (Creations) installation has become much easier (the Plugins Enabler mod and therewith SFSE is no longer needed to install this mod)
- Just download the mod versions of your choice (one for player and/or one for enemy) from the files section, unzip it/them and place the .esm file(s) into your game's data folder
- Double check ingame in the Creations menu (available from Main Menu), then Load Order submenu, whether your chosen .esm(s) has/have a checkmark. Ideally move it/them down the load order, so that it/they is loaded last (this prevents it from being overwriten by preceding mods)
Credits
Without xEdit and Elminster's work of a genius all this would not be possible, so, many kudos to Elminster and team.
If you like the mod a tiny bit, I would be really happy about an endorsement for good karma. This makes me cozy warm inside :-) and fuels me for the updates I will have to undoubtly do as Bethesda rolls out patches and DLC.
