Swaps Polaron beam sounds with sounds ripped from DS9. Sounds obtained from the following YouTube video by thatSFXguy:
One thing I discovered while doing this is that many Vanilla (normal Polaron, normal Plasma, etc) weapon types use the same sounds for Beam Overload, chosen randomly each time they fire from an FSB with 5 distinct sounds in it. Because of this I am uploaded the Overload sounds as an optional file, as they will likely impact any non-phaser weapon that uses Vanilla weapon sounds (I only tested Polaron and Plasma, but vanilla Tetryon, Disruptor, and AntiProton do not have separate Overload sounds in their FSBs either so I'm assuming they work the same way).
To install: 1) unzip 'Polaron.zip' 2) Within 'Polaron.zip' you will find a folder named localdata, copy it and paste it in "...Star Trek Online\Live\" 3) The end result should look something like this: "...Star Trek Online\Live\localdata\sound\win32\M_P_Player_Space_SpacePolaronBeam.fsb"
This does not modify any actual game files because STO supports override functionality using the "localdata" folder, so this SHOULD be safe, however it IS a bit of a gray area so use at your own risk. As far as I know there have not been any official statements made about whether this type of thing is OK or not, but if I find one I will update this description immediately.
