Decided I would share this idea I had in case anyone else in interested. A Jedi Temple Guard as a reinforcement for the republic. Not too sure what kind of abilities they should have but think it would be cool regardless. Could even to a robed appearance like in Clone Wars or the more Armored look from Rebels.
